Destruction Jammer is a very interesting Counter Trap that I have some some mixed feelings about.  Anyway, Destruction Jammer does exactly what you might have guessed...it negates the effects of a Magic, Trap, or Monster card that destroys a Monster or Monsters on the Field.

The biggest downside to Destruction Jammer, is the fact that it requires a discard, but I think the discard factor does add some balance to what is, or at least could be, a potentially powerful card.

Honestly, this Format is crazily fast.

However, it could be a nice slap to your opponent's face, especially if you destroy some powerful monster...

Advanced:   3.5/5

Advanced Side-Deck:  4/5  If it's THAT big of a problem, try one or two.

Destruction Jammer
[Counter Trap Card]
Discard 1 card. Negate the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card, or Effect Monster's effect that destroys a monster(s) on the field, and destroy that card.

This is a really interesting card, it's a mix of the other Jammer cards. Magic Jammer is to discard to negate a spell, Trap Jammer negates Traps, and now Destruction Jammer can negate anything that destroys a monster and destroys that card. Now, it may seem to many, that this card is almost exactly like My Body As A Shield, because it is. Just My Body As A Shield you pay 1500 Lifepoints and is a Quick-Play Spell card unlike the discard and Counter Trap that Destruction Jammer is. This card can really be utilized just like My Body As A Shield and has a spell speed of 3, while My Body As A Shield has a spell speed of 2. With many cards out there, this can be such a good counter against the ever popular cards like Ryko, Lightsworn Beast and Gladiator Beast Gyzarus. Though giving up a card from your hand can be a big deal down the line, it's still a good card overall. I still do like My Body As A Shield better, because if your opponent has Jinzo out, or another trap negating card, this could fall victim of being negated. 1500 lifepoints for My Body As A Shield is okay, especially when you're going to get crushed by a Gyzarus that could potentially end the game. Though this card is good, My Body As A Shield is so much better overall.

Traditional: 1/5 - there are more remove from game effects and more important cards that are used here.

Advanced: 2.5/5 - My Body As A Shield is a better and more versatile card for this format. This card is just behind it, I would give MBAAS a 3, so it's a lot closer than you all think, you could side deck this card, main, i'm not the biggest fan.

Pwii

Destruction jammer is now my favorite card, because a) it stops DaD b) because awesome fun decks that use humungo monsters like vwxyz-dragon catapult cannon are now even more playable! SQUEAL! This is a good card, and expect to see it in EVERYONE's side deck (or at least mine).

5/5 trad. Stops chaos!

4.5/5 adv. Stops DaD! And boosts my favorite decks!
