Closing our week, we come to Flame
Spirit Ignis, who is a Fire monster, which is
appropriate, and is a Level 4 monster with the
paltry attack of 1400 and an equally craptacular
defense of 1200.That aside, this card, as the theme of the
week continuing, however inadvertently, is terrible.
Ignis allows you to tribute one
face-up Fire monster you control to inflict 100x
damage to your opponent for each Fire monster in
your Graveyard.This is horrid, and that may be an
understatement.Let's say your Fire Deck has 20 monsters, and
you have 18 of them in the Graveyard and this guy
and some other thing on your Field...that's STILL
only 1800.
It just isn't enough damage to
warrant playing :(

And if you thought Maniacal Servant was bad... At
least the 1500 ATK and 1200 DEF are a standard for a
level 4 monster. FIRE and Pyro lend it to help with
Volcanic cards, but they are slightly debunked
lately. The effect is not great at all. You tribute
a face up FIRE monster to inflict 100 for each FIRE
monster in your graveyard.
This coulda been neat if it was even 300 damage.
Volcanic Shell, Scattershot and even Hammerer and
Slicer would have made great targets, as the Shells
and Scattershots replace themselves and you can
tribute the Hammerer and Slicer after they have
dealt damage. At 100 it is not nearly enough to
justify the setup and cards that it takes to get it
going. Yet another good idea that was bungled
because UDE was scared of making another
Grandmaster, Allure of Darkness or Darklord Zerato.
And it wouldn't have even been THAT great!

The Card
It's only 1400 attack and the effect isn't very
good. Fire decks get more support, but not very good
support. Fire Trooper is a much better card than
this even if you lose the card. This card will end
up being destroyed in battle, and at the start of
this game, this will always be a dead card. Even
with not that much support for Fire, this card
should not be in the deck. I rather run Solar Flare
Dragon and combo it up with stall cards such as
Messenger Of Peace, Gravity Bind, and Level Limit-
Area A because it's very unlikely you will abuse
this card before you get lose. This card takes a
long time to set up before you can take advantage of
it's effect.
Advanced
It's just not good, and if you want to burn your
opponent, there are much better ways than playing
this card or even a fire deck at all. Decks this
format are much faster than this could be if you
made it around stall and cards like Gyzarus would
destroy this deck, because this card will never stay
on the field, because Gladiator Beasts can go off
turn one and get out Gyzarus.

Combo's
Volcanic Shells+Phoenix Wing Blast/Raigeki
Break/Divine Wrath to get fire monsters in the GY.
Stall Cards+having this card on the field. Then
using Solems and Divine wrath to help it from being
destroyed from monsters. Then maybe Using 3 Bribe's
to protect the Stall cards. Then to add some help to
your deck, you add 3 Royal Oppressions which is
really good this format, and helps your deck against
all the top decks. Then you add all the fire
monsters you want in your deck such as Fire trooper,
which helps burn some LP off and puts fire Monsters
in the GY. Then you can also use Solar Recharge
which is good early game with stall and protection
which burns him off until you get fire monsters in
your GY until you can use Flame Spirit Ignis and
burn him while keeping it on the field.
Suggestions
Don't play this card in a burn deck. If you want to
run this card, only do it when you run a lot of fire
monsters. I would also try to use Volcanic shells
and use Phoenix Wing Blast or Raigeki Break to put
fire monsters in the GY easier. I would also maybe
run Thestalos The Fire Monarch since it has a great
effect, big attack, and is a fire monster, but you
only run thestalos if you want to run an aggro type
deck. Then this card would be pointless once again.
So you wouldn't run Thestalos, because you will use
cards like Messenger of peace to protect him and get
as many fire monsters in your graveyard as possible.
Then start burning your opponent each turn, but the
problem is that this takes a while to set up and
Gladiator Beasts, Light Sworn, and Dark Armed Dragon
decks get their set ups faster to win, while to take
advantage of this card you have to set up early and
get all the cards you need. Which is harder with
this deck, which makes this card not good, because
of how fast decks work this format.

Today’s card up for review is Flame Spirit Ignis.
This card is pretty meh to be honest. I can’t recall
when Fire monsters have really been playabale,
besides being used with Volcanics. I cant see the
burn damage being really big, so that hurts its
playability. If your gonna go for burn within fire
decks, use Spiritual Fire Art- Kurenai or go with
Volcanic Scattershot.
Another better card would be Solar Flare Dragon,
u inflict 500 per turn, plus if you have two on the
field, your opponent wont be attacking anytime soon.
So just stick with cards that you know will have a
big impact upon being played, and not by chance or
numbers.

BOOO!Just Boo.Nothing remotely good to write about the
card.
You would need at least 15-20 FIRE monster in your
graveyard do decent damage.Spiritual Fire Art works is much better for a
Fire based deck.

A bad effect because you're rarely going to have
over 10 even with shells and scattershots.....
And he has to tribute a monster on your field.....
I'm sorry... I'd just like to review some GOOD
cards....
