Gladiator Beast Gyzarus is a neat
Gladiator Beast Fusion being Level 6 with 2400 atk
and 1500 def with the Dark attribute. Now, as bad as the Format is, Gladiator
Beasts are semi-playable, maybe even better, as like
the Six Samurai, they are a fast Deck, that focuses
on hitting and swarming the opponent.
So, this is a Fusion of Gladiator
Beast Bestiari and one other Gladiator Beast of your
choosing. When Special Summoned, you can destroy two
cards on the Field.Note it doesn't say you destroy, it says
"can," so it wouldn't have to destroy itself if
there happened to be only two cards on the Field.
If you successfully destroy two
cards of your opponents, you end up with a +1, as
you had two monsters, gave them up for this, and
destroyed two opponent's cards. For those of you playing Gladiator Beasts, go
ahead and play this one.He has standard attack for the level, easy
enough to summon, and a reliable destruction
ability.
A worker at my local card shop hates Yu-Gi-Oh!. I
mean with a passion. So I was very surprised when he
told me he was excited for a Yu-Gi-Oh! card. He
showed it to me and said "This is the BEST card in
your game". Of course I am inclined to agree.
Gladiator Beast Gyzarus is a fusion monster that
needs one Gladiator and Gladiator Beast Bestiari on
the field to "Contact Fusion" him out. Meaning that
the monsters are sent back to the deck instead of
the graveyard and that Polymerization is not needed.
When he is Special Summoned, you destroy up to 2
cards on the field. WOW. And to clear things up, ANY
time Gyzarus is Special Summoned he gets this
effect. Meaning if he is Spcial Summoned from the
graveyard (and oh yes he can be if you contact fused
him first) he blasts 2 cards. Then as if that wasn't
enough, he has the Gladiator
Beast "Tag Out" effect. Meaning he gets 2 Substitute
Gladiators from your deck after he battles.
I probably do not need to go over the combos that
this guy does with Gladiators, but with Prisma and
Test Tiger, they get out Gyzarus first turn. And is
you are lucky, you can get Gyzarus AND Heraklinos
out second turn. Now that is something that I would
be excited to do. Oh wait! I already do that because
I am running Gladiator Beasts. Lucky for us
Gladiator beast Gyzarus is pretty cheap, and the
only expensive card is Gladiator Beast Heraklinos,
and you can even run the deck without it!
Everything else is either common or rare or a low
cost ultra.

Gladiator Beast Gyzarus
Today we look at the reason why
GBeasts have skyrocketed in popularity of late.
GBG is basically the "boss" of
the Gladiator decks right now. Boasting the decent
2400 ATK, and pointless 1500 DEF, he's a fairly
powerful threat once he hits the field. However,
once he hits the field, he's going to be doing the
most damage. Being able to destroy "up to" two cards
on the field is fantastic. The effect doesn't
disappear if there's only one card on the field, and
it doesn't force you to kill your own if there's
only two. Absolutely awesome.
His effect of going back to the
deck is pretty darn good itself, allowing you to
grab two more GBeasts that can effectively do their
own damage. All in all, this is a pretty nifty card.
His weakness is obviously getting
two GBeasts plus Beastiari on the field, but that's
easily overcome as the pioneers of this deck have
shown. There's a reason this guys price doubled ever
so quickly.

Gladiator Beast Gyzarus
This is my new favorite card, it is so powerful. It
can destroy two cards the opponent controls.
Technically it takes two of your cards to destroy
two of your opponents however you then get back a
2400 monster so in turn creating a plus one. I
personally think this card is far more versatile
then Herk, the fusion using Laquari. This is going
to be the driving force behind all Gladiator Beast
decks from now on.
