Closing the week, which has
actually been pretty good, we come to a Field Magic
Card, Light Barrier, which is obviously only for
Arcana Force Decks. In short, toss a coin during your Stand by
Phase, If Tails, you don't get this cards effect.
If Heads, you get to choose which
Arcana effect on your monsters you wish to use for
the turn, and your Lifepoints increase by the amount
equal to the attack of the monsters that are
destroyed by your Arcana monsters.
I don't really think personally
the Arcana Force monsters are anything serious to
worry about...yet.
Ratings:
Nothing. You play it, or you don't, in the one Deck it
belongs.
Honestly, if you really need
something, it's like a 2/5, even where it belongs.
Art:3/5Not bad, actually.

Light Barrier
This card is what makes Arcana Force monsters tick.
As we are not quite so lucky as Artorius form the
Anime, we have to rely on effects to get our awesome
Arcana Force effects. This allows you to flip a coin
every standby phase and if you get tails, you get to
choose which effect of the Arcana Force monster to
apply. That way if you fudge up on the monster's
effect of flipping, you can undo the damage by
flipping again. The Lifepoint boost is just a bonus,
as usually this will be combined with Arcana Force
The World to get a turn lock out with Strike Ninja
and DD Scout plane or Samsara Lotus.
This card will ensure that you get the beneficial
effect of The World so that you can win the game.
Beyond that it is for fun with Arcana Force
monsters.

Light Barrier
Today we have a chance to look at the Field Spell
of the Arcana Force archtype. Appropriately, it's
double-edged.
Light Barrier is a lot like the Arcana Force
monsters themselves. It's a gamble that if you win,
it more than pays for itself. Unlike the other
Arcana monsters though, it's backfire isn't nearly
as bad.
Flipping a coin is my least favorite thing to do in
a game. It's like asking Lady Luck to just kick me
in the face. Which she doeS. A lot. As I understand
though, there are people who live for that moment,
and that's just fine and dandy for them. LBarrier is
one flip that I wouldn't mind being that if I get
tails, I'm not totally screwed, unlike other cards
out there *coughCupOfAceCough*.
In the question whether Arcana Force monsters need
this card or not, I personally feel that's up to the
user. If you're running an Arcana deck, then yes,
absolutely. There is no reason not to run this card
when your monsters are primarily Arcana monsters.
However, if you're running a deck built on one or
two different Arcana monsters, it's probably not
worth the deck space. It'd be easier simply to cope
with the damage they're going to do when you get a
bad flip.
I should also mention that gaining LP equal to the
destroyed monsters thing isn't critical by any means
to the Arcana type, but it's certainly a nice
effect. It makes it just that much more playable.
Traditional Arcana Deck: 2.5/5 (There are other
things to put in here)
Advanced Arcana Deck: 4.5/5 (I feel it's quite
useful)

Light Barrier
Using this card in a Arcana Force deck is a must, it
can help you manipulate which effects to abuse.
However you are not able to abuse this power in the
OTK Arcana deck based around The World, because it
lock the Samsara Lotus’s from reviving from the
graveyard.
