Monday
Well, we start off the new week continuing to look
at Phantom's Darkness cards, and we begin with Field
Commander Rahz, whose name opens a few questions.
First, how does someone who is a "Field Commander"
only have 1600 attack points?
That having been said, Rahz isn't a bad card, not at
all. Level 4, of the Earth and Warrior descent with
1600 attack which is a little low, and 1200 defense,
which is equally low. However, he holds the effect
of being able to add a Level 4 or lower Warrior
monster from your Deck to the top of your Deck when
Normal or Special Summoned.
However, let's look at that a bit more. If a monster
isn't giving you any advantage, it probably isn't
going to be anything that you should probably be
playing. My point being, this guy doesn't even add
the Monster card to your Hand or the Field...just to
the top of your Deck.
In closing, how come Warriors need and receive
support? Do they need anything else?
Ratings:
Traditional: 1.5/5 He could add a BLS to the top of
your Deck, but I'd probably use Different Dimension
Capsule over this.
Advanced: 2.5/5 Not worthless, can search Goblin
Attack Force, nice
pieces of the DD Family, just to name a few.

Monday March 10th: Field Commander Rahz
Today we're talking about Field Commander Rahz, an
Earth/Warrior Monster with a built in, yet watered
down version of Reinforcement of the Army. Rahz
allows you to select 1 LV4 or less Warrior from your
deck and instead of adding it to your hand, its
placed on top of your deck
There are 3 ways this card could've been good.
1) If the LV4 or less monster was added to your hand
(obvious pick)
2) If any monster aside from Warriors were placed on
top of your deck (a better Deep Diver)
3) If you could select LV5 or more as well (stack a
nice beater that Dasher can bring out)
Sadly, without those changes, Rahz is nothing more
than a watered down version of Reinforcement of the
Army
Ratings:
Trad: 1/5 (Doesn't belong anywhere)
Advanced: 1.5/5 (Alot of better options available)

Monday:
Field Commander Rahz
Okay...so essentially it's Reinforcement of the Army
with legs, kinda.
This is an interesting card. Not broken, not
powerful enough to see play in any deck that can
support it, but interesting. If you got the card
straight into your hand, it'd be heralded as the
next E-Hero Stratos, or even better than. +1s with
powerful bodies are respected in this game -- look
at the Gadgets; the majority of the decks that
WEREN'T Dark Armed Dragon that saw play were Gadget
builds.
For decks that definitely need help drawing into
Warriors, where RotA just isn't enough, you've got
this guy. Otherwise, I'd stick with the Spell
version.
