Fusion Deck by returning the above cards you control
to the Deck. (You do not use "Polymerization".) Once
per turn, you can destroy all Spell and Trap Cards
on the field. This card returns to the Fusion Deck
during the End Phase. When this card is returned to
the Fusion Deck by this effect, return all cards on

Tuesday
Another Neos Fusion Monster? *sighs* Elemental Hero
Storm Neos, who as you may have guessed has 3000
attack and 2500 defense, as most of the Neos Fusions
do. One thing that automatically makes me dislike
this card is that it needs three monsters to be
summoned: E-Hero Neos, Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin, and
Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird.
Anyway, also as per the usual policy of Neos Fusion,
you return the monsters used to the Deck, and you
don't need Polymerization, both which are good
things. Storm Neos also returns to the Fusion Deck
at the End Phase.
Now, once per turn, E-Hero Storm Neos can destroy
all Magic and Trap cards on the Field, and he has
3000 attack to back that up. That is certainly a
good thing, if only for the turn. He also has the
bonus of returning all cards on the Field to the
owner's Decks respectively when he returns to the
Fusion Deck by his own effect.
That's a good enough effect too, and I would
actually use Storm Neos if I were playing a Neos or
Big City Deck, or any of that fun stuff. No rating,
as you wouldn't, for any reason, play Storm Neos
outside of his own Deck.
(4/5 in the above Decks where he can actually
function, as he isn't
terrible)

Tuesday:
Elemental Hero Storm Neos
This is definitely one of the odder Contact Fusion
monsters.
You give up 3 monsters on the field to force it into
play. In exchange for that, you get a free Heavy
Storm (better hope your opponent doesn't
Bottomless/Torrential/Raigeki Break), a 3000 ATK
body, and a full-field nuke at the end of the turn.
However, this card has a few problems.
*Big setup -- odds are if I'm committing 3 cards to
something, I expect that combination of 3 cards to
win the game or come damn close.
*With other E-Hero Fusions, you could easily use Neo
Space to claim their effects over several turns if
you could protect the monster. With this guy, if
you use his effect again, you're losing all of your
ability to protect him with negation cards, as well
as the Neo Space itself. That, and your opponent
will only set anything at that point if they think
they can bluff you into a bad Storm effect, or if
it's chainable.
*The full-field nuke effect pretty much means your
opponent gets a free shot next turn. And against
most current competitive decks, that's pretty much
saying "Please summon Dark Armed Dragon + several
monsters via Dimension Fusion and attack me for
game!"
Contact Fusion is a game mechanic that should have
never made it past R&D.

Tuesday - Elemental Hero Storm Neos
Today I'm back for COTD, and I, along with the
rest of the COTD crew, am reviewing Elemental Hero
Storm Neos, a card that was released in Phantom of
Darkness. This card contains the usual features of
an Elemental Hero card:
- Not easy to summon
- Not a great effect
- Exceptional attack points that are disregarded
when reading the effect.
- Lasts for a short period of time
- Doesn't require Polymerization (if it's a fusion)
Storm Neos isn't easy to summon because three
specific cards must be on your side of the field,
and they're all monster cards, so you have to wait 3
turns at most, unless they're special summoned. I
wouldn't think that someone would use a spell/trap
or monster effect to special summon one of these
monsters. So, that means that Storm Neos won't be
summoned easily, and won't be of too much use to us
if he isn't summoned.
Storm Neos has a built-in Heavy Storm effect,
only it can be activated just once per turn. Once
per turn isn't too much of an issue, since Storm
Neos normally only stays on the field until the End
Phase. Another flaw is that this card doesn't have
any protection against opposing threats that might
go off when it attacks, like Dimensional Prison or
Sakuretsu Armor. Also, since this card only stays on
the field until the End Phase, and then the
difficult summoning requirements have to be pulled
off again.
The reason I said this card has exceptional
attack points is because it has 3000 of them. This
card can easily end a game when it's least expected
from just a single attack, but that most likely
won't happen. Another problem is those Phoenix Wing
Wind Blasts that can easily send this card back to
the Fusion Deck by just discarding one card. The
attack points are thus disregarded because of the
cards horrible effect.
Traditional: 1/5 - I don't think we even see the
most prominent Elemental Hero's here.
Advanced: 1/5
Art: 2/5 - Nothing too fancy. |

Tuesday March 11th: Elemental Hero Storm Neos
Today is Moving Day for me and I'm given Elemental
Hero Storm Neos to review. Whoop Dee Doo =]. Storm
Neos is without a doubt, the best Triple Contact
Neos Fusion in the game. That doesn't really say
anything since the Double Contact Fusions are hardly
playable much less the Triple version.
Let's discuss its summoning requirements. Elemental
Hero Neos is easy to bring out so that should be a
piece of cake. The Neo Spacians you'd need are Air
Hummingbird and Aqua Dolphin. Air Hummingbird is
somewhat decent unless you make good work of a LP
Gain Deck. I see no need to even use Dolphin in
anything other than a Neos Fusion deck. Summoning 2
sub par monsters along with a two tribute monster
doesn't really cut it naturally, but lets see if the
cost is worth the reward
Storm Neos has 2 great effects. The first is an
optional heavy storm on the field. This is nice if
you're attempting to set up an offensive front. Just
make sure you have other monsters to join in the
fray, otherwise, unless you're ridding cards you
don't need, summoning him won't really be worth it.
It's second effect makes Storm Neos worth its 3
tributes. When it returns to the deck by its own
effect, every card on the field is moved back to the
deck. Now this is a nice disruptive measure since it
can easily destroy your opponents foundation, but if
its destroyed or removed by a card effect, its
effect won't kick in. Now you wish you were glad it
had a built in Heavy Storm
My last comments on this would be.....Why did the
other 2 Triple Contact Fusions (Magma Neos, Chaos
Neos) became Secrets and the best was reduced to a
lowly Super Rare? UDE doesn't follow trends?
Ratings:
Trad: 1/5 (Chainable Stuff)
Advanced (Neos): 5/5 (If you're making a Neos Fusion
Deck, focus it on this)
Until Next Time
