Tuesday
Well, we took Monday off in honor
of Memorial Day, which I hope everyone enjoyed their
Holiday (weekend) and an extra day off :) Anyway,
this week we continue review some interesting cards
from Light of Destruction, and a special bonus card
on Friday.
Starting the week, we come to
Judgment Dragon, or JD for short.
JD is a Level 8 Dragon, of the Light
attribute, with 3000 atk and 2600 def.
Now, while unable to be Normal
Summoned or Set, you can special summon JD the 3000
atk powerhouse simply by having four or more
differently named Lightsworn monsters in your Deck.
This, in short, is the Lightsworn
answer to Dark Armed Dragon.
Now, is this card better than Dark Armed
Dragon?
Yes and No...it all comes down to timing.
Dark Armed Dragon can wreak havoc and then
you can Special Summon your JD and take our Dark
Armed Dragon.
Wait...better than that, just pay
1000 Lifepoints to destroy all cards on the Field
except for JD itself.
So, you give up 1000 Lifepoints in order for
an almost guarenteed 3000?
Hmm...JD can sure finish more quickly than
Dark Armed Dragon, as his ability is based on the
amount of Darks your Graveyard holds.
In theory, requiring an extra
monster (four different names as opposed to exactly
three Darks) is because JD is better...and I am
inclined to agree.
However, it should be noted that JD discards
4 cards from your Deck, as opposed to the standard
3. It
shouldn't be a problem as JD is a game finisher.
