Helios Trice Megistus:
One step at a time.
Attack and defense: 300 x the number of RFGed
monsters? With the death of Dimension Fusion, it
doesn't happen quite as often as it used to. Late
game potential, maybe.
Summoning: Two tributes, can be special summoned,
and can be special summoned by tributing a
particular monster. It has a few options for
bringing it to the field, and options are always
good.
Effect: Ignoring its attack and defense, it
carries a pair of useful effect. Double attacking
(especially with potential beatsticks) is always
enjoyable, and its ability to revive itself gives it
some protection. Always appreciated in a monster.
Pyro/Light: Potential with Volcanics, but doesn't
do much for the Light attribute on its own. Odd
combination.
Now then, here is one of those beatstick monsters
we get every so often that does nothing on its own
except attack. No global effect, no way of reaching
out and changing the game on its own. Nope, all it
does is attack.
But hey, at least it does something.
Macrocosmos may likee this card. Think about it;
tributing out a pair of Survivors to summon it,
which in turns kicks it up another 600 points for
the turn. It mows down something of interest, and at
the end of the turn the Survivors return. Typical
Macro scenario, I know. Still, the Macro scenario
then defeats its self revival effect, as it never
hits the graveyard. Darn.
Maybe some sort of non-Macro RFG deck? Soul
Releases, Caius, Karma Cuts, that sort of build?
Possibly, but thats asking for an awful lot of
imagination.
Oh, and lets consider just how little 300 really
is. At least Gren Maju Da Eiza gives you a 400 boost
for a non-tributed monster. Golden Homunculus starts
with 1500 in each stat, giving it both a boost
toward real power and a number to allow it to be
searched for. With options like these already
available, Trice is sorely lacking.
There is no real reason to run it, I'm afraid.
Traditional: 1/5 (nothing to help it stand up to
the sort of firepower typically found in this
format)
Advanced: 1/5 (the only upside I can see is "at
least its shiney")
