Counselor Lily is an interesting Fairy-type Tuner we
have to close out the week, who bears a striking
resemblance to Injection Fairy Lily, remember her?
The stats are identical, 400 attack and 1500
defense, but instead of a massive attack increase
effect, here, if this card is sent to the Graveyrad
for a Synchro Summon, you can pay 500 Lifepoints to
have the Synchro monsters gain 1000 attack until the
End Phase.
That may not seem like much, but mid to late game,
on an open Field, that extra 1000 attack could end
the game. She is Level 3, so you can still fairly
easily Synchro Summon a powerful enough monster
folks.

Meh.
That's all I can really say about this. When it
comes to Synchros, 1,000 ATK usually isn't
game-breaking, especially not for just one turn.
While I realize that paying 500 LP to deal 1000
extra damage is enticing, and at some points allows
your Synchro to plow through an opponent's Synchro
that normally wouldn't be able to be taken out via
battle, the strengths of Synchros are typically in
non-battle abilities, with the exception of Colossal
Fighter, and he has his own self-boosting effect.
Herald of Orange Light is a better Fairy-type Tuner,
and for the most part I'd rather have 2-star Tuners
than 3-star Tuners given the Levels tend to sync up
better for the Synchro Summons you'd want to
perform. There are many more decent 6-star monsters
out there than there are 5-star monsters to let you
get to those Lv. 8 Synchros that are popping off so
easily with Emergency Teleport and Destiny Hero -
Malicious.
Somehow I see this getting relegated to the junk
part of trade binders very soon...

I was thinking that Injection Fairy Lily's cousin
would be as hot (in play wise!) as her predecessor.
This is not the case at all. Lily has almost no
stats to speak of and is of the EARTH Fairy variety.
That is basically no help at all. Then her effect is
almost as useless as Sinsister Sprocket's, you have
a Synchro monster that is Synchro summoned with her
gain 1000 ATK until the end phase.
I guess at least she is useful, giving Stardust
Dragon some extra teeth and claws to get over other
big name monsters. However, 9 times out of 10
Psychic COmmander will be far superior, allowing you
to Synchro SUmmon as well as hold it's own on the
field of battle.
Basically, she is cute and joins Freya the SPirit of
Victory on my friend's Loli page.

Todayʼs card up for review is Counselor Lily. It
has sick art for one thing haha. The effect is
pretty cool, I donʼt see a use for it right now
though. Getting bigger Synchro monsters usually
isnʼt a problem in this meta. If I bring out
Stardust Dragon, then you can drop a 8*, your gonna
choose Collosal Fighter or Thought Ruler to run my
guy over etc etc. Who knows though? Some one may
find a way to break this card. Time will tell.

Attack power doesn't mean as much as it used to.
Since there are no Synchro Monsters below 400 ATK,
this would be meaningless because of people playing
Bottomless Trap Hole and Royal Oppression. Having a
little boost gives that monster the possibility of
destroying a Dark Armed Dragon or a Judgment Dragon
by battle, but the opponent would have destroyed
what you needed already.
