Charge of the Light Brigade! I think it should be an unspoken rule that anyone whoever plays this card should have to say it as dramatically and loudly as possible. Maybe that's just me. Anyway...

You send the top three cards of your Deck to the Graveyard, and add 1 Level 4 or lower Lightsworn monster from your Deck to your Hand. Part of me wonders why this is a Secret Rare, but it must be for combo potential.

On it's own, this card may not be the best thing in the world, but depending on what you mill from your Deck, or what you choose to add to your Hand from your Deck, This could definitely be the start of some advantage for you. I'd play one or even two, but three might be overkill.

General Zorpa Charge of the Light Brigade

This is one of the best cards printed, EVER. I mean that too. The only other card that allows you to thin your deck by 4 cards is Solar Recharge, and that requires a Lightsworn monster in hand in order to be activated. This card brings back memories of Painful Choice, where you can thin your deck as well as search fro what you need in order to bring destruction upon your opponents.

Of course, the major use for this card is in a dedicated Lightsworn deck, where you can find the perfect monster for every situation while thinning your deck and loading your graveyard for a Judgment Dragon win condition. It is the ideal first move, making it that much easier to get off a Lumina/Garoth opening in which you thin your deck by ANOTHER 5 cards and possibly adding 2 more to your hand.

The other deck that this card shines in is a Zombie deck. They will be using Solar Recharge for Draw power as well as Lyla for S/T destruction and Lumina for Special Summons. You load your graveyard with Plaguespreader Zombie, Zombie Master, Mezuki and Goblin Zombie, all while losing no card advantage and being able to search for the right Lightsworn to mill or Special Summon or whatever.

In short, this card deserves it's Secret Rare status as well as it's 60 dollar price tag. This is one of the few cards where I feel this way, so that is something Special.

Todayʼs card up for review is Charge Of The Light Brigade. You would think Judgment Dragon going to 2 per deck would kill the deck eh? Wrongo! Charge Of The Light Brigade makes the deck sooo much better. Speed and mill is crucial for the deck to win, and this card of course speeds up both parts. Milling stuff like Wulf/Necro Gardna/Lumina/#of different Lightsworns never hurts, and grabbing a Lightsworn of your choice pretty much is a huge boost. You can get 2-3 Lumina out with ease now. I see no downside whatsoever to this card!

Lightsworns finally got another good spell card to make the deck even faster. Send the top 3 cards makes it easy to send a Wulf to the graveyard for the +1 or possibly more. Even if it doesn't send any Wulfs to the grave, it can send other Lightsworn monsters to help special summon Judgment Dragon in future turns. It thins down the deck helping to draw a card faster. Anything Lightsworn level four or under sent to the grave can be special summoned with Lumina's effect.

There are many targets for Charge of the Light Brigade to search for. Its the Lightsworns "Reinforcement of the Army" and it helps do so many other things. If a Garoth was sent to the graveyard, search a Lumina and use her effect on Garoth to draw more cards and possibly send Wulfs in the process. Jain for 2000 DEF monsters, Ryko for stall of Gladiator Beasts, Ehren for any defense monster or Lyla for destroying spells or traps. This is a perfect card to make the deck faster and to get Wulfs or a quicker Judgment Dragon, A must play for every Lightsworn Deck.

Pwii I'm really sorry I haven't been reviewing; I was sick. And the worst part of it was I got mostly better by school time. TT. Ah well.

Charge of the light brigade is...ok I guess. With all the deck-out effects, it would be risky to run 3, but it also gets you game breakers back...Let's just call it a 3/5.

3/5 all.
