Again, we are looking at another Counter Trap, this
time being Mind Over Matter, which is sort of a
different type of Solemn Judgement, for Psychic-type
monsters that is.
Mind Over Matter is a -1, as it requires the card
itself, and the tribute of a Psychic-type monster.
However, it negates the activation of a Magic, Trap,
or Normal or Special Summon of a Monster card, and
destroys the card in question.
If you are playing with the right cards (Psychics,
that is) then definately play one, and go ahead and
side another if it is working well or you need the
extra help.

Mind Over Matter
...okay, so basically this is Solemn Judgment but
with the cost of a Psychic-type monster instead of
half your LP.
2-for-1 cards are tough to swallow sometimes --
Divine Wrath doesn't see a lot of play for this
reason. However, dedicated psychic decks can use
this to stop a key play, and should there end up
being a reliable engine that gets multiple Psychics
on the field, this can be a good card.
I like the idea of negating just about anything
without an LP cost, but sadly, the loss in card
presence seems to make paying half your LP the
better option currently.
3/5 for future potential

Mind Over Matter
This card is the second part of what makes a
dedicated Psychic deck work. It is basically a 4-6th
copy of Solemn Judgment with a slightly more
palatable activation cost. Just for tributing a
Psychic monster, you can negate anything, just like
Solemn. The Psychic monster armada is completely
capable of replacing the lost monster, which is kind
of nice since unlike SOlemn, Mind is a -1 for you.
It is definitely a good card, but then so was Froggy
Forcefield. I do think that Psychics will follow
Destiny Heroes in the fact that they will never be a
force on their own. Just splashed into different
strategies to augment another deck's weaknesses and
strengths. I think that a Psychic heavy deck could
benefit from this though, as your Krebons will do
you little good against Judgment Dragon.
Just like SOlemn, it is a clutch card, but useless
in most decks that will only play 3 Psychic
monsters.

Today's card up for review is Mind Over Matter..
Hello Potential! Read the effect and you know this
card has the potential to be busted beyond belief.
Problem of it being, there isn't a lot of Psychic
type monsters around right now. If we can see more
support, the deck type itself could be big, and this
card could possibly be the centerpiece for it! Until
then, it is quite mediocre. If you want to make a
pure Psychic deck with the resources that are out,
for sure use this card

Mind Over Matter is a themed Solemn Judgment, but
without the life point cost. Instead you have to
tribute a Psychic monster to stop whatever your
opponent is doing. The only Psychic monster that is
worth playing right now is Krebons. People would
rather play Solemn Judgment in a Psychic deck
anyways because they are not losing a card. In the
end, the less cards you need to negate something,
the better.
