Dark Paladin

Friday

I wish we had looked at Magical Android earlier in the week, because I consider it to be the least useful of the week, but maybe that's just me.  Magical Android is of the Light Attribute and is Level 5 with 2400 atk and 1700 def of the Psychic type.

See, Magical Android, as if you hadn't heard this before, is Synchro Summoned by one Tuner and one or more non-Tuner type monsters.  See, being Level 5, simply a tribute would be required, but here, you are still using at least two cards for only a Level 5 monster.

Anyway, during your End Phase, you gain 600 Lifepoints for each face-up Psychic-type monster you control.  Honestly, I consider Lifepoint gain to be an underrated tactic in Yugioh, but most players dismiss it as crap.  This card will probably stay in the Trade Binder.

Magical Android

Okay...last one of the week.  Lv. 5 tuner means hardly any material is required, but the odd number of level stars might make it difficult unless the proper Tuners are used.  2400 ATK pales in comparison to other Synchros of the same levels, but it's a nice little trick against burn decks, being able to sit on his effect and gain life for not only himself, but any other Psychics you control.

Not much else to say here -- he's nowhere near as fearsome as Stardust or Red Dragon Archfiend, but he's a nice trick for certain situations.  I'd only give him one slot in my Extra deck unless burn is prevalent in the area.

3.5/5
General Zorpa Magical Android

This is the best level 5 Synchro, the other one being the horrible Junk Warrior. You get a 2400 body and a bonus lifegain at the end of your turn. 600 for each of your Psychic monsters. This can get especially crucial in the late game, where extra lifepoints are always appreciated.

It is a little bit harder to summon than Goyo Guardian, as it needs a level 4 monster and a level 1 Tuner, or a 3 and 2 combo. This can be accomplished quite easily with Junk Synchron, Specially Summoning a level 2 monster form your graveyard with it's effect and then Synchro Summoning Magical Android. Then as a bonus, she is a LIGHT monster, meaning that a surprise Honest can be, well, surprising. Because of this, she fits right in with Lightsworn Synchro decks, but they are more likely to summon Goyo, as he is in their level jurisdiction

While she is not as devastating as Goyo Guardian, she can make waves with her ATK and her effect can be a real life-saver. I have to say that it is one of the underused Synchros, as people don't seem to like her. I however have fallen in love, and still need to get my playset.

Todayʼs card up for review is Magical Android. I actually like this card a lot. For one, it is the only 5* synchro that we have at the moment. Because of that, he will for sure be in most extra decks. Now, if you can go synchro summon crazy, you can get a lot of life off this card. Bring out a few Thought Rulerʼs and this card and start to gain life like crazy. Or if you have a dedicated Psychic deck, this card will gain you so much more life points.

Magical Android is the sleeper hit of the Synchro monster brigade. She doesnt come off as all that useful. Her effect will allow a player to gain an extra 600 life at the end phase, but theres not much else. Her effect isnt what makes her shine though. She is an easy to summon, level 5 synchro monster which makes her an easy summon when you need a quick beat stick on the field. A sangan and psychic teleport can be a quick out if Magical Android is in your extra deck. Shes also LIGHT which may entice people even more because of Honest.

We are ending this week with Magical Android. Being level five makes it a little difficult to Synchro Summon without building the deck around it. 2400ATK is solid but is outdone by Goyo Guardian which is easier to Synchro Summon, has more ATK and a better effect. You may as well have it in your Extra Deck on the off chance that you need it.

Magical Android is another great monster that can be brought out by just one card. Summon Junk Synchron and then any level two monster will make it a Magical Android if chosen to. You will gain 600 Life Points for each Psychic monster on your field at the end phase. Its an automatic 600 for the Android herself and if you happen to have anything live, it would be an extra bonus. She is a Light monster, so if anyone is attacking Honest can help protect the Android. Magical Android is good for casual play, I can see them in Top 16 extra decks, but nothing that will win a SJC ofr a person.
