Transformers...more than meets the eye...Transformers...robots in disguise...:D

Sorry, anyway, Flying Fortress-SKY FIRE, the big gun, is a Level 8 Wind Attribute Nomi monster, with 3000 attack, and 2500 defense, who can only be Special Summoned by the effect of Summon Reactor SK (ie, sending all 3 of the other Transformers face up from your Field to the
Graveyard)

Once per turn, you can discard a card from your Hand to the Graveyard to destroy one card your opponent controls. Hell, XYZ-Dragon Cannon can do that, and is easier to summon...so is Dark Armed Dragon...strike one.

Now, when your opponent plays anything, the card gets destroyed, and they take 800 damage. By now, the damage should be way more than 800 points...but the relentless destruction is nice...this guy is pretty hard to destroy, but he is still vulnerable to all the Magic and Trap cards that can destroy monsters so yea...

Ratings:

Traditional: 1.75/5 Good luck
Advanced: 2.75/5 Still, I wish thee good luck.

General Zorpa Flying Fortress SKY FIRE

Well, here it is, the Big Tamale of the Reactor monsters and really the only reason to play any of them together in a cohesive deck. He sports an amazing 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF on a level 8 DARK MAchine. Those stats will get you over most anything really quickly, and he even can be used with Trade-In, what a deal.

His first effect is his Summoning effect. You can only Special Summon him with Summon Reactor SK's effect, which is ok because a monster this powerful needs to be relatively hard to summon. His second effect allows you to discard a card to destroy an opponent's card on the field, which is excellent.

The second effect is a two-parter. You can choose to destroy a monster when it is Normal or Special Summoned once per turn and inflict 800 damage. The second part is the same thing, but only for set cards.

This effect allows SKY FIRE to be able to protect himself pretty well, as he will destroy cards that would otherwise destroy him. During a two turn period, he can destroy 2 cards with his effect and another by Battle, which is amazing. He is not the best acrd in the game, but is definitely good enough to be considered for his own deck.

Flying Fortress SKY FIRE ...

This is one of those cards thats makes reviewing tough ...

I'll get to WHY exactly in a second ... but 1st - 3000 ATK - awesome. 2500 DEF - standard awesome. Wind Machine? Kinda makes no sense since the sum of its parts are Dark ... but whatevz. If u can manage to get him to the field, its not going to matter. And since the effect that special summons him can do so from the hand, field, or graveyard - making use of said attribute in order to place him somewhere where he might be more accessible (i.e. Dark Grepher dumping Dark monster into the grave) is a non-issue.

But then going back to what i said about getting him to the field is the hard part of reviewing him ... his stats are great. And his effects - although not godly are very good too. By the time he'd be reaching the field, your opponent shouldnt have too many options at their disposal. Auto-popping any monster they summon or card they set and burning them for 800 when u do it is great. And anything u don't hit with that effect - u can drop a card from your hand to pop one more thing per turn. Basically - it wont take much longer to finish the game once u get him out.

So does Sky Fire get an excellent score? ... Well not if u consider just how unlikely u are to ever GET him out. i've given good scores to relatively difficult monsters to summon in the past ...20but all those at least had POTENTIAL to summon quickly with a deck dedicated to doing so ... and a deck that could hold its own until said monster was summoned ... A good card, in the end, is only as good as your ability to make use of it. Sky Fire, really suffers on that front. By the time a deck built for him would even start to get enough momentum to bring him out, your already most likely too far behind to dig yourself out of the hole your in.

With this card? - Like Adrienne said to Rocky when he announced his bout against Ivan Drago - "You can't Win!!"

Now for the boss card in Griegers deck, Flying Fortress SKY FIRE. The machine version of Valkyrion, the Magna Warrior. If you send all 3 of the Reactors on the field to the graveyard you can summon this card from the hand, the deck or the graveyard. And once per turn you can send 1 card from your hand to the graveyard to destroy a card your opponent controls. You also can inflict 800 damage to your opponent and destroy a summoned monster or a card your opponent sets.

The effect is pretty nasty really, not too great but its decent none the less. The card seems like it could be worth the trouble but I dont think so. I know it can be used with cards such as Trade-In and Limiter Removal. In its own deck the card is ok but in anything else its garbage.
