If this card was
Special Summoned by the effect of a "Gladiator
Beast" monster, when this card destroys an
opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the
Graveyard, you can add 1 "Gladiator Beast" card from
your Deck to your hand. At the end of the Battle
Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you
can return it to the Deck to Special Summon 1
"Gladiator Beast" monster from your Deck, except
"Gladiator Beast Samnite".

Gladiator Beast Samnite, a monster I have some mixed
feelings about, but let's go over the card...Level 3
Beast type of the Earth attribute with 1600 attack,
which is respectable for its Level, and 1200
defense.
Now, as a Gladiator Beast, this card is privileged
to all the rights, and abilities there of, as being
able to be Special Summoned by another, except
itself, and all that other wonderful stuff. For his
own ability, if he destroys a monster and sends it
to the Graveyard (after being Special Summoned by a
Gladiator Beast) you can add 1 Gladiator Beast card
from your Deck to your Hand.
That's good, adding monsters to your Hand from your
Deck, or usually from anywhere, is a good thing, but
maybe it's just me, but doesn't this seem a little
counter-productive to the whole Gladiator Beast
theme?
Gladiator Beasts strength is in replenishing
themselves and cycling through the Deck, and this
doesn't give you any distinct advantage in the
current turn by adding a fellow Gladiator Beast from
the Deck to the Hand.

Gladiator Beast
Samnite ...
... Because the Gladiator Beast Deck needs all the
extra help and support it can GET! ...
Okeey-dokey ... 1600 ATK - fairly decent ... It can
fight and kill a few things ... Also noting that
Sammy is only a 3-star monster? 1600 ATK is pretty
good. Earth - plenty good. DEF - 1200 ... fairly
solid all around. So onto the effect? - ok - when
tagged (like most Gladiator Beasts), Samnite gets
his effect ... and its a good one. By destroying a
monster and sending it to the graveyard as a result
of battle - u get to take ANY Gladiator Beast card
from your deck to you hand. How awesome is that??! U
dont even have to settle for a monster (which i
probably wouldnt, since the Gladiators work best
when tagged in) ... but the choice is yours -
Monster? Spell? Trap? - u can claim whatever u need
so long as it has "Gladiator Beast" in the title.
Yeah, u know u love it ...

Today we review a card
that will be seeing a lot of play at the upcoming
Shonen Jump Championship Anaheim! Today we review
Gladiator Beast Samnite. A new level 3 Beast-Type
monster to help make Rescue Cat more playable and
with a solid 1600 attack it can hold its own against
some of the monsters being used in top decks right
now.
On top of being easy to summon multiple copies of
this card, it also provides a lot of advantage. Such
as Gladiator Beast Equeste does. They both have the
power to add 1 "Gladiator Beast" card to their hand.
Samnite adds a "Gladiator Beast" card from your deck
to your hand, where as Equeste adds a "Gladiator
Beast" card from your graveyard to your hand. Both
of these effects are very amazing and usually give
off a free +1.
Adding free cards such as Gladiator Beast War
Chariot and if you're running it, Gladiator Beast's
Respite, to your hand allows for a lot of options
for future turns or just after the battle phase if
on your turn. On top of that Samnite isn't limited
to just Spell and Trap cards, you can even add a
monster to your hand. I personally wouldn't ever add
a monster to my hand seeing as how I have Gladiator
Proving Ground for that. So when you look at it,
more so than often you'll be adding a monster to
your hand, since the only spell/trap that most
Gladiator players use is Gladiator Beast War
Chariot. Some incorperate Respite in their builds as
well for more speed, those builds are the good ones,
as Respite cleans out clogged hands full of just
monsters, its not really a +1, its more of a 1 for 1
thing, but still helps give more options, and thanks
to Samnite those options are easier to obtain.
I could probably go on about this card and how
amazing it is, but we'll end the review here with
Samnite being a simply amazing card and a must in
every Gladiator Beast deck.

This card is great in
GB's run 2 to 3 of these things plus they can be
brought out by Rescue Cat.On another note these are
short print rares so except these things to be worth
$5 to $10.
