Dark Paladin
Tuesday

All right, Spell Reactor Re will be incredibly short and sweet, as it's nearly a mirror of yesterday's card...still Dark attributed, and Level
3 vs. Level 4...less defense (900 vs. 1800), marginal attack increase (1200 vs. 800) and the same destruction and damage effect, just for a different card (800 damage for a Magic Card instead of a Trap). My thoughts remain the same as yesterday...

Same ratings as yesterday too...

Traditional: 1/5

Advanced: 2/5 IF you can again play the Deck and pull off the big
gun.

General Zorpa Spell Reactor RE

This Reactor is even worse than the last one! At least that one had decent stats. Spell Reactor only has a paltry 1200 ATK and 900 DEF. That is low on every side of the coin, so stats alone are not on this guy's strengths list.

The effect is exactly the same as Trap Reactor, but instead does it for spell cards. As Field Spells and continuous spells are becoming more popular, this guy could actually do some damage with his effect if you have the right protection for him 24/7. But that is not likely to happen.

As his effect is pretty situational, you would only use him in order to Summon SKY FIRE.

Advanced-3/5

Spell Reactor RE ...

Well, Trap Reactor yesterday was pretty lame ... could SPELL Reactor really be any better? ... and honestly? - i must say - A little BIT, yes!

But don't get carried away ... saying Spell Reactor is a better monster than Trap Reactor is like saying Kara Dio Guardi is a better American Idol judge than Paula Abdul ... you STILL press mute when EITHER of them are talking ...

Anyway - Spell Reactor - another Dark Machine, comes with 3 stars which is good - makes it viable for the uneven Synchro Summons of Black Rose Dragon and such ... slips under anything that might tag a 4-star monster ... and it comes with a slightly heavier ATK than Trap Reactor. 1200 wont do TOO much, but it can at least hold its own against Sangan, which is the least ANY monster can do if its out on the field and winds up in ATK mode.

Then - the effect ... again - it would be SUPER sweet if it go to negate the activation of spells, not just destroy them ... but at least it has a few more potential stops than Trap Reactor. Spell Reactor keeps any Field Spell, Equip, or continuous Spell at bay. Meaning it will wipe out any stall or burn wall that your opponent could be planning. It'll shatter the draw engine of Card of Safe Return which a lot of people try to make use of these days. And the 800 burn in the process is just icing on the cake.

He's definitely stronger and more usefull than is Trap based brother. SkyFire and a deck type? Meh ... we'll see ... but this guy aint too bad of a card.

N o V a
Today we'll continue the Reactor series with Spell Reactor • RE. Like Trap Reactor • Y Fi, when a specific card is activated it can destroy the activated card and inflict 800 points of damage to the opponent. In this case, its obviously Spells. 1200 attack really isnt much to brag about either. Being a machine though you can toss in stuff like Cyber Dragon with Overload Fusion and Cyber Phoenix. On top of that you can use cards to help protect your weaker Reactors like Y Fi and RE with cards like Mirror Wall and Shrink. As I said in the Trap Reactor • Y Fi review, the Reactor monsters are only good in basically burn based decks and Griegers themed deck.

Summon Reactor・SK

The first time a monster(s) is Summoned to your opponent's side of the field each turn, inflict 800 damage to your opponent. During the Battle Phase of the turn this effect is activated, you can negate the attack of 1 monster your opponent controls. You can send 1 face-up "Trap Reactor・Y FI", 1 face-up "Spell Reactor・RE" and this face-up card you control to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Flying Fortress SKY FIRE" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard...

This card again will see no play this format.
