Always with the Koa'ki Meiru monsters...Koa'ki
Meiru Rooklord, who sort of resembles a Rook, and is
clearly a Machine, yet a Warrior, who is a Level 7
Earth attribute monster, and has an excellent 2800
attack and 2200 defense.
Now, stop me if you've heard this before...during
your End Phase, destroy this card unless your send
one Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru from your Hand to the
Graveyard or reveal one Warrior-type monster in your
Hand. Of course you've heard that before.
Moving on...you can Tribute Summon this card by
tributing one "Koa'ki Meiru" monster, which is a
good ability. Also, when Normal Summoned, you can
remove from play one "Koa'ki Meiru" Monster card
from your Graveyard to destroy up to two cards your
opponent controls.
Almost a Monarch type effect there. I think while
most of the Koa'ki Meiru mosnters have turned out to
be not so great, Rooklord could be playable as long
as you keep him on the Field, so try him and see.

Koa'ki Meiru Rooklord …
I’m not gonna get into my thoughts on these guys
again, but all that aside – Rooklord ain’t all that
bad … He’s one of the better of the bunch, that’s
for sure. Keeping him around is nice, but u don’t
really need to. He can be tributed with Koa’ki Meiru
monster, and then when summoned u can remove 1
Koa’ki Meiru monster from play (probably the one u
just tributed) to destroy 2 cards on the field.
Sweet. Maybe the monster in your way and a
spell/trap card that has u nervous? – And then swing
away. 2800 is a big hit. If u are lucky, that’s all
u need to finish the game. I could see some decks
built around this thing, but once again – the Koa’ki
Meirus suck as a whole … so just design said deck
strictly for his strengths.
I’m down with this clown.

Eww again. Koa'ki Meiru Rooklord, another icky
card, but seriously. Another strictly Koa'ki Meiru
themed monster that can't just be splashed into
other decks like Koa'ki Meiru Drago, Koa'ki Meiru
Guardian and so on. Sure they'd have to be based on
types but to use Rooklord to his full potential he'd
have to be in a full-on based Koa'ki Meiru deck. You
destroy it during the end phase unless you send an
Iron Core to the graveyard or reveal a warrior, you
can tribute summon it with 1 tribute if you tribute
a Koa'ki Meiru monster and when its normal summoned
you can remove a Koa'ki Meiru monster in your
graveyard from play to destroy up to 2 cards your
opponent controls. Now destroying cards is actually
pretty decent, however going through all the trouble
just to summon it to the field... just doesn't seem
worth it. Personally I don't think Koa'ki Meiru
decks will really use this card, it has an alright
effect but as I said going through all the trouble
just to summon it, isn't really worth it.

Koa'ki Meiru Rooklord:
So the
Iron Core clan gets another boss monster... and this
one is decent-ish. Like most other Koa'ki
Meiru monsters, it has the downside of having to
discard an Iron Core or revealing a warrior type
monster at end phase or he gets a one way pass to
the graveyard. His effect almost makes up for
that though, as destroying any 2 cards your opponent
controls is great (one of the reasons that Celestia
and gyzarus are incredible monsters). Would
have been great if effect worked when special
summoned as well, but I guess that is asking for too
much. Still though, 2800 atk and double card
destruction is great for a one tribute monster,
which he would be in a Koa'ki Meiru deck. If
you are brave enough to attempt a Koa'ki Meiru deck,
I believe Rooklord deserves a slot or 2.
Otherwise I'm kind of sick of continuously getting
support for an archetype that very few are
expressing ANY interest in...
