Urgent Training, another
Super Rare Trap continues the week. Activate during
the Battle Phase, (yours or your opponents), and
Synchro Summon one Synchro Monster. I checked ude/yugioh,
and there wasn't a specific ruling.
So, I assume this can even be from the Graveyard,
but I'm not positive.
Even if not, being able to Synchro Summon, as long
as you have the pieces (on the Field, in your Hand,
or a combination of both) is incredible, especially
during your opponent's Battle Phase :)

This is great if you really want to spring a
surprise Synchro on the opponent. You can use this
plus Revival Gift or Emergency Teleport in order to
get the cards that you need to the field int he
battle phase, wher eyour opponent might not be able
to respond as well with their defensive cards.
This is especially useful against decks packing
Threatening Roar, as if all you have is a low level
monster, you can then spring a Goyo Guardian or
Stardust Dragon on them when they least expect it.
This is a mildly useful trick, but one that I think
that is more useful on the cartoon show than at the
final tables of a Shonen Jump Championship where it
will likely only be a dead card.

Todayʼs card up for review is Urgent Tuning. I
feel this is one of the sleeper cards in Crossroads
of Chaos. I see a lot of potential in this. You
basically will get to attack with two monsters, then
synchro them up for extra damage and a nice upgraded
board. The fun trick I thought of right off the bat
would to have 2 bleh monsters while your opponent
has Threatening Roar face down. They wonʼt activate
it because your board is small, and here is where
you can just surprise them and get some big damage.
I am sure there are some other cool combos out
there, just use your noggin

Hey all, sorry I've
been a bit...absent, but the fact of the matter is
that I just haven't been feeling too well lately and
haven't had a chance to get to work, check my e-mail
and do the things that I'm normally supposed to be
doing for the website. But have no fear, I'm back at
it once again and ready to get reviewing, so here we
go with today's card, Urgent Tuning.
Urgent Tuning
is a great Trap Card, in my opinion, because it's
ability can be activated during the Battle Phase.
It's dead weight while it's sitting on your field
outside of the Battle Phase, but during it this card
can rain down destruction on your opponent without
them even knowing what's going on. It's ability to
be used on either player's turn is phenomenal, and
really the only downside I see with this card is the
fact that it's a Trap Card; most Synchro decks are
too busy flying off the shelves and attacking and
maneuvering so quickly that it's difficult to see
what's going on.
