Krebons is one of the more interesting Tuner
monsters out there, and it's awesome he made the
list and also hasn't been reviewed :) Anyway, here
we have a Level 2 Psychic-Tuner monster who is of
the Dark attribute with 1200 attack and 400 defense
(both which are pretty irrelevant, to be honest).
Krebons real value isn't so much in the fact he's a
Tuner, or a Psychic, or Level 2, or even a Dark
monster. The little gem of the built in effect is
the prize here. Pay 800 Lifepoints to negate an
attack when this card is selected as said attack
target.
Again, you know why it's good, and I don't need to
be monotonaus...tune in next week for the Top 5
Cards of 2008!

Krebons
The little Tuner that could. Krebons is probably the
most widely used Tuner simply because of his
survivability. He can stay on the field for a really
long time. His effect of paying 800 lp to negate an
attack can completely turn an offensive push by your
opponent into a rather costly overextension that you
can manipulate. 1200 ATK, 2 stars and a DARK
Attribute accompanied with th ebrand new Psychic
type make this guy a winner.
He is usually seen in the standard Tele-DAD decks,
being used to Synchro with both Destiny Hero
Malicious and 4 star monsters like Stratos for Goyo
Guardian and the Pantheon of level 8 Synchro
monsters. The biggest part of this guy is that he
can be Special Summoned by Emergency Teleport. With
this card, you can not only unleash a storm of
Synchros, but also blcok an entire Alpha Strike or
attack, saving yourself to fight another day.
Right around now, Plaguespreader Zombie has replaced
Krebons as the BEST Tuner monster, but he will still
see play because he can be so useful in Tele-DAD as
well as Anti-Meta Decks that want to shut down an
opponent's moves. He is a classic example of a
balanced card, good enough to be played in 3's, but
not broken enough to earn a spot on the banlist.

6: Krebons
Today’s card is Krebons. This is the most
commonly used Tuner is the game by far. The star
level of Krebons allows you to have access to most
of your synchros. That alone, is reason enough to
use him. Let’s not forget about his effect. He is a
Necro Gardna for a small life payment. He can stall
you for a little bit while you try to draw your key
cards and win. He is a must in my opinion for any
deck that does attacking or wants to synchro summon.

Krebons
When Psychics were first introduced, everybody knew
that Krebons would be the top pick for any deck.
Krebons helps in so many different ways. First of
all, its a Dark monster and can help with Dark Armed
Dragon decks get that last Dark in the grave with
help from Emergency Teleport. Its a level 2 tuner
that works well with any level 4 monster to get out
Goyo Guardian or usually a Destiny Hero Malicious to
Synchro for a Stardust or whatever.
Any attack towards Krebons can be negated by paying
the usual 800 life points cost. This protects him
and stops Gladiator Beasts from getting their
search. With 1200 ATK, Krebons can get over most
monsters that are switched to defense mode. Negating
attacks, synchro summoning, easy special summon from
deck and also its a dark monster, whats not to like
about Krebons? Krebons will continue seeing play in
many future tournaments.

Ah,
the cute little guy finally gets the recognition he
deserves. Krebons single-handedly built the Tele-DAD
build, because without it, there would be no Synchro
summoning of some of the most powerful cards that
Tele-DAD has to offer. It is one of the best cards
in the deck, and one of the primary strategies, and
his #6 spot is well-earned.
