During each of
your End Phases, destroy this card unless you send 1
"Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru" from your hand to the
Graveyard or reveal 1 Warrior-Type monster in your
hand. Once per turn, you can select 1 Level 3 or
lower Warrior-Type monster in your Graveyard and
equip it to this card. This card gains ATK equal to
half of those equipped cards' combined ATK. If this
card would be destroyed by battle, the equipped
monsters are destroyed instead. (There is no limit
to the number of monsters that can be equipped to
this card)

Koa'ki Meiru War Arms, a Level 4 monster of the
Earth attribute and Warrior type with subpar attack
and defense at 1400 and 1200 defense respectively.
Now, I'm not a big fan of this card, as it's
essentially a Union monster for the Koa'ki series
here.
He can equip himself with a Level 3 or lower Warrior
type monster from your Graveyard and he gains attack
equal to half the combined attack of all monsters
attacked to him. If this card is destroyed, destroy
all the equipped monsters instead.
I think we have heard all of this before, hence as I
referred too, the Union thing. Not really worth the
effort, and it seems fairly counter productive to
the Koa'ki series I believe. OH, and you have to
send an Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru to the Graveyard
or reveal a Warrior type monster in your Hand just
to keep him on the Field.

Koa'ki Meiru War Arms
...
Well anyone who's paid attention to anything I've
written since Raging Battle has come out knows how i
feel about the Koa'ki Meiru monsters ... As a full
on deck type? - it's crap. However, the monsters as
individual parts supporting OTHER deck types? - Some
of them are fairly good. And War Arms? - He's one of
the good ones.
He's a warrior type. One of the best things to be in
Yu-Gi-Oh. Earth. Also great. 1400 ATK? - Not that
bad. It allows him to NOT be hit by a Bottomless
trap hole, and makes him perfectly Sangan-able, and
Giant Rat-able. Then we get to hit effect ... For
starters, he's got that stupid maintenance cost of
the Koa'ki Meiru, but since u better be using War
Arms in a Warrior deck or not at all, it should be
fairly simple to maintain him. Next, and more
importantly - once per turn u get a monster (level 3
or lower warrior) from your grave to equip to him to
pump his attack. So even on the turn he is summoned,
he will most likely be able to run over any other
non-tribute monsters (depending on what u have in
your grave at the time), and the longer he's out
there, the stronger he can get. And then add the
fact that while he's got Warriors equipped to him,
he's indestructible by battle. That nice little bit
of protection does him well. Anything else? - Well,
hell! - A Giant trunade will bring any of your
warrior monsters equipped to him back to your hand,
which sounds like fun too!
He's got some funky dope moves, so I like him.

Welcome to another
week of COTD. We start the week off with Koa'ki
Meiru War Arms. This card is pretty cool, searchable
with Giant Rat, you can reveal a Warrior-Type
monster to keep it on the field, and once a turn you
can equip 1 level 3 or lower Warrior-Type monster in
your Graveyard and have War Arms, and for each
equipped monster, War Arms gets half of each of the
equipped cards ATK combined. Being able to equip
multiple monsters is pretty useful, combine it with
cards like Mage Power and United We Stand to make it
even more of an aggressive monster.
The downside to monsters like this is that they
usually take up back row space, as well as the fact
when War Arms would be destroyed in battle, all the
equipped monsters get destroyed. In the long run
there are better cards to run than this, you could
probably build a better Relinquished deck or run
Plasma Control.

Koa’Ki Meiru War
Arms…. One of the monsters from the Koa’Ki Meiru
archetype. However, unlike some of the other ones,
this one has no negation ability. The effect on this
card isn’t that bad at all, having a union
monster-type of ability. The problem though, is that
there are not that many usable level-3 or lower
warriors that are being used these days in any sort
of deck.
Its cost for not revealing Iron Core is not hard to
fulfill, as all you need to do is reveal a
warrior-type monster, and given this cards effect,
it’s unlikely that it will be used outside a warrior
deck anyways, so it should be easy to keep alive.
Not too usable of a card until we get more playable
level-3 or lower monsters….1/5

Koa'Ki Meiru War Arms
This littl eguy is not really any good at all. He
has the standard Iron Core text that makes him hard
to play, and his effect is just not that great. Even
though he his a Warrior, he does not do anything
that a good Warrior card should do. Instead of
searching for other Warriors or at least providing a
unique effect, the card just takes fallen Warriors
and equips him with them for a rather modest
increase to his paltry 1400 ATK and even then a
simple destruction effect or a Book of Moon and all
of that hard work is done.
There are far better both Iron Core and Warrior
monsters out there to use. This one does not even
limit dominant archetypes like what the other,
better, Iron Core monsters do and is easily
countered and rather slow and expensive to use.
Unless a miracle comes about, this guy will never
see top-table play at a major event.

Today’s card up for review is Koa'ki Meiru War Arms.
I want to say right off the bat, that I am happy
they released the Koaki theme. They give you
something fresh to use, and are quite powerful. I
will have to see if they release more support for it
to determine how good any of these Koaki’s really
are. But anyways, War Arms has a decent effect. He
is a warrior, and his effect lets you reveal a
warrior type from your hand to keep him around,
which isn’t hard to do considering the amount of
support that warrior type monsters has. It is a bad
time to use something like War Arms right now
though. The attack boost may be beneficial, but the
game won’t let this guy stay around for long. The
game is all about summoning multiple monsters and
doing big damage. If the game slows down, I can see
this guy having some potential
