Snowman Eater is seriously one of the oddest cards
ever in Yugioh...I mean, I sort of felt like writing
and ranting about who or what would go around eating
snowmen, and why, but they are a source of water I
suppose...in short, we have Man Eater Bug, with 0
attack, 1900 defense, and Level 3 with a Water
attribute.
What else do you want to here? Flip and destroy a
monster...we've seen this before, and if you're
playing monsters or cards that destroy monsters like
this, it comes to personal preference.

Snowman Eater
This was supposed to be the silent hit from RGBT,
but it was a bit of a flop. Stardust Dragon came
back in popularity, as people rely now more on
monster effects to rid the field of Synchros.
Basically this guy's 1900 DEF and flip and kill a
monster effect made him a real star in Japan as they
used Deep Sea Diva, Salvage and him to create
massive swings in advantage backed up by Synchro
Summons.
Alas, he is a bit inferior to Gravekeeper's Guard,
the preferred defender as he can go offensive with
his 1000 ATK, remove ANY threat on the field AND be
offered as a tribute for Crush Card Virus. The Eater
cannot do many of thes ethings, but he is a bit more
versatile. I used him in a new generations PAC-MAN
deck and got some pretty impressive results. The
deck itself was far too slow, but shows how powerful
many of these cards have become.

Today’s card up for review is Snowman Eater.
It’s about time we got a snowman in the game haha,
but let’s dig a little deeper into this card. More
Aqua support and high defense is cool, but having 0
attack is atrocious. After this guy gets flipped,
I’m not sure what purpose he will serve. I apologize
if there is some combo that I am not aware of, but I
don’t see much of a use for this guy

Snowman Eater ...
What a cool card. All of the benefits of being a
flip effect monster, but none of the drawbacks. Of
the monsters that destroy monsters when flipped -
this is among the best in his own right, mainly
because of his awesome 1900 DEF. most non-tribute
monsters will have trouble breaking it. The Rykos,
Night Assailants, Man Eater Bugs, and Old Vindictive
Magicians of the world usually die in the process
when attacked, so it turns into a 1 for 1 trade.
Because its hard to break the snowman's defense, u
will often destroy your opponent's monster, leaving
the snowman on the field to tribute for something
else come your turn. His major flaw comes after his
effect goes off. U got a nice 1900 wall up, but he's
got no offensive capabilities. Also watch to make
sure he's not flipped while ur opponent has no
monsters ... as Snowman will eat SOMETHING ...even
if it winds up being himself ...

Todays Card of the Day
is Snowman Eater. This card is actually a pretty
decent card. Its almost the equivalent of
Gravekeeper's Guard, has a similar effect and same
defense. Gravekeeper's Guard is a Flip Effect where
as Snowman isn't, which really doesn't make too much
a difference but it is a difference none the less.
When Snowman Eater is flipped face-up, you can
destroy 1 face-up monster on the field. This is
another difference, for two reasons; 1) It can
destroy any monster, yours or your opponents and 2)
Gravekeeper's Guard returns a monster to the hand
instead of destroying it. Its a pretty cool side
deck card since its a pretty solid wall against most
cards, and even if they use a Synchro to get over
it, Snowman can destroy it if flipped. The only
problem here is that since it destroys, if the
opponent has Stardust they can just negate it which
ends up hurting you in the long run, which is
partially why Gravekeeper's Guard is better.

Snowman Eater…. Have
we gone completely retro on effects here?
Effect-wise, it’s even worse than good’ole Man-Eater
Bug. The fact that you are only able to destroy
face-up monsters is a really big drawback on this
card. It takes away the amount of options you have
to follow up on. However, the one upside is that it
has a monstrous 1900-defense, which is enough to
thwart most attacks from non-tribute monsters.
At best, it’s a +1, and at worst, it’s a 1-for-1,
assuming its effect goes through. Given that you can
only destroy face-up monsters, you’ll likely end up
destroying the attacking monster unless it kills
this. This leaves you with an option to stall with
this card, or use it as a tribute on your following
turns.
It’s got the potential to make a splash in monarch
decks perhaps.
