Forbidden Chalice, a Quickplay Magic card, and one
that could be fun, but probably has little to no
purpose in a competitive Deck. In short, one face-up
monster on the Field gains 400 attack, but its
effect is negated until the End Phase.
This is something you should probably not use on
your own monster...ever. I mean Rush Recklessly is
better than this if you're using it for your own
monsters...but it could be fun to use on your
opponent's monsters.
I mean, it could be fun to use on a Synchro or
something, and a 400 attack boost is negligble more
often than not, but again, I don't think this would
ever really be used competitively, but go ahead and
see.

Forbidden Chalice
Eve, beware, we have you on a card stealing
something! Anyway, Chalice is a Quickplay Spell that
increases a monster's ATK by 400 and then negates
it's effects for the turn. This is one of the cards
that I am most excoted about being released in all
of Raging Battle.
The use of a selective Skill Drain is enormous,
especially when it is chainable to whatever you want
it to be chainable to. The ATK bonus is supposed to
balance it out somewhat, but instead it rarely ever
matters. 400 is rarely enough to be decisive in
Battle, but it actually can give your opponent an
edge, but negating a Dark Armed Dragon's effects and
taking an extra 400 damage is far better than eating
three free destructions. Also, if your opponent is
about to combo off with Summoner Monk, you can chain
it and basically stop them cold for a turn.
Now, you can also use it on your own monsters, such
as Fusilier Dragon, the Dual Mode Beast and Beast
King Barbaros so that they can have their original
ATK restored. I do not know all of the rulings on it
yet, but I think that at least Barbaros will keep
his boosted ATK even after the effects of the
Chalice wear off.
This is a great card to use in almost any deck as
tech for a bad matchup. In fact, every deck has to
use at least some monsters, so you can rather easily
use a pair of these maindecked in order to screw
with your opponents plans and kind of use it like
Compulsory Evacuation Device to pick apart an
opposing strategy.

Forbidden Chalice …
Ahhh … I really like this card. Another Spell with a
relatively simple effect … or “double” effect that
is just plain fun! You boost a monster’s attack by
400, but also turn off their effect for the turn.
GOD, I love that! I’ve effectively shut off Stardust
Dragon making him helpless to protect himself, even
with his newly gained 400 ATK points. What more can
I say? It’s very very cool. If it has any real flaw
– is that it’s almost TOO cool. Often u are holding
onto it for an emergency or something specific,
waiting to really get the most out of it, and
forgetting that It can also be used just to boost
one of ur monsters by 400 ATK points for the turn.
Meaning that u can find it turned into a dead card
very quickly if u hold back with using it when an
opportunity presents itself. Call it a somewhat
softer Rush Recklessly with an Emergency EMP ...
very fun to play.
The amount of tricks that can be done with this
thing are as limitless as there are effect Monsters.
Think Jinzo, Spirit Reaper, etc. If only it were a
bit higher an increase, maybe like 600 or 700 it
would gain a perfect score … But Alas … It’s still
my favorite Spell card to come out this year.
Easily.

Forbidden Chalice
continues the week. Forbidden Chalice is a
Quick-Play Spell Card that increases a monsters
attack by 400 but negates its effect. When Forbidden
Chalice was released it was an over hyped card and
over priced because of it. Negating an effect is
nice and increasing your attack at the cost of your
effect isn't entirely bad depending on what you use
it on. A lot of players figured it'd help get over
Stardust Dragon and other various Synchro monsters,
but there is a cheaper card that does the job better
and thats Skill Drain.

Forbiddon Chalice is
yet another card introduced to us in for Skill Drain
decks. It is amazing when used right and can apply
pressure on your oponent via offence and defense.
The effect may seem usless at first but turning
Barbaros into a 3400 beater on a normal summon is no
joke, as it can run over anything that is played in
this meta.

format)

defensive plays)

Forbidden Chalice….
The first card to catch my attention from Raging
Battle. It’s basically a 1 turn, 1 monster Skill
Drain. And if used correctly, this card can be
deadly. The fact that it can be used on both your
opponent and yourself gives it even more
versatility. All of today’s top decks rely on
monster effects, you take that away from them, you
severely limit their options.
If used against Lightsown, it shuts down Lumina
completely. Your only worry is that Honest is being
held in hand and you cannot capitalize on the play.
Against GBs, this card can literally save you from
defeat if used on a Gyzarus. If not Gyzarus, you can
leave your opponent with a Murmillo as a sitting
duck while you keep your strong beater. Blackwings
is a bit different, as they rely on swarming. But
Chalice can save you from trample defeat after an
attack transfer.
If you were to play it on your own monsters, the
first candidate would be Beast King Barbaros. One
card and you get a 3400 attack beater for the turn.
With 3400 attack, that is enough to run over
anything.
