General Zorpa Copy Plant

This is Nettles' stepbrother that the Plant family keeps locked in the closet. 0 ATK and DEF as well as one star on an EARTH Plant will not win it anything in the stats department. In fact, it is competing with Thousand Eyes Idol for bottom honors here.

The effect is why we are reviewing it, and the fact that it is a Tuner. You get to copy the level of any Plant on the field, making it really easy to Synchro with Black Garden Tokens for massive Synchronization.

This is my preferred Tuner for Plants, as he can adapt to any situation and turn it into one where you Synchro. He works with Seed of Deception as well as some awesome Plant Support. If only he had like 1000 ATK, he would not be so maligned, but right now, Nettles is just superior in the standard Plant deck.

Copy Plant Review:

Well heres a card I know like the back of my hand, being a plant person myself and having run the deck before. Copy Plant has become quite a good card with Crimson Crisis finally out. Cards like Wall of Thorns, Violet Witch and Ivy Shackles add the additional support plants needed.

Copy Plant is an easily summoned monster through Lonefire Blossom as well as being searchable to the hand thanks to Violet Witch. Ivy Shackles allows you to turn your opponents monsters into Plant-Type monsters on your turn, which means you can copy an opponents monster and use it to get out bigger Synchro monsters.

Being such a good tuner it has to have some kind of weakness, and that lies within its stats. Having zero attack and defense makes it an easy target for an attack, so you want to make sure that you can tune to get your Synchro before they go in for an easy attack target and set you back, even if its just a little bit.

This cards cool and very useful outside of battle, running more than one copy probably wouldn't be as good as running two Nettles and one Copy Plant, least thats the best way to run this card that I see.

Anteaus Copy Plant

Honestly, I can't imagine when this card would be useful. OK, that's not quite true; if you need to get more stars for a Tuner, then I can understand using this, but even then you could just use another monster for it anyway. With 0 ATK and 0 DEF, this card is useless except for tuning it, and even then it's not great because all you're doing is doubling the level number on your side of the field, which may or may not help. Overall, Copy Plant is useless in my book; it's better used to mark your place in the book you're reading.

Copy Plant …

Simple card. Simple effect. With 0 ATK and DEF, its obvious that this thing is good for only 1 thing – Synchro Summoning. And it does it well ... but only for a Plant Deck.

Match it with a 3 star monster and u have enough fuel for Goyo Guardian. Matched with any 4 star, and you’ve got enough for your big 8 star Synchros Dragons. What’s more – if u are using the heavy Plant support of late and turn your opponent’s monsters into Plants, u can copy THEIR levels … or the level of any tokens that u are very likely placing on their field …

With no ATK a nd DEF to worry about, its searchable by anything u can imagine, so that’s nice. But CP has 2 glaring downsides. The Wind attribute is kinda … uhm … I don’t know how to describe it right now, but it would be a bit better if Copy Plant was Earth, I think. And the 2nd flaw is that Copy Plant will copy the level of any monster on the field. Meaning that unless u copy a different monster other than the one u Tune with Copy Plant, it’s impossible to Synchro for Black Rose Dragon (one of the best Synchros, especially for a Plant Deck), since BRD has an odd number of stars.

Still, overall – not too too shabby.

Copy Plant

Types:Plant Effect (Continuous/Tuner )

Effect: Once per turn, you can select 1 face-up Plant-Type monster on the field to have this card's Level become equal to the selected monster's Level, until the End Phase

Level 1

ATK 0/ DEF 0

First let me say I am no expert on the plants or the deck.

This card might see some play in a plant deck depending on the which version you are running.

But I have seen a good one that could stand up to Lightsworn,Gladiator Beast and the new TeleDad

Traditional:1 (Chaos)

Advanced: 2.5 (There are better plants)
