Closing out our mini week, we come to Turret
Warrior, a monster I just don't really enjoy, even
in the Warrior Deck, as it's obviously the only
place he belongs. We have an Earth monster who is
Level 5 with 1200 attack (pitiful) and 2000 defense
(not great considering Level
5...)
This Warrior can Special Summon himself from your
Hand if you tribute a Warrior-type monster first.
Let's see...a Special Summon for a Level 5 monster
that requires a tribute...that doesn't sound like
much of a Special Summon.
However, it IS a Special Summon, so you can still
perform your Normal Summon or Set of the turn if you
desire. Now, to make you want to use this monster,
he gains that attack of the tributed monster. Well,
that changes everything!
Not...odds are, you will only be tributing a Level 4
or lower Warrior anyway, you aren't going to be
pulling off any big moves with turret warrior. I
mean, a Goblin Attack Force would be fun, that gives
this guy 3500 attack.
Realistically, you're probably looking at a monster
with 1600 attack or less, which is 2800 or lress
attack for Turret Warrior. 2800 matches Dark Armed
Dragon, but the big problem is, Turret Warrior has
no other
effect(s) so then you just have a monster with
(hopefully) a large attack.
Sorry, it's not worth it folks.
Ratings:
Traditional: 1/5 It's not even Light or Dark, and I
don't see a Warrior/Chaos Deck using it.
Advanced: 2/5 It does do something, so it's not
complete junk.
Art: 3/5 Even the picture isn't great.

Turret Warrior
Well, we have a variant on the Maju Garzett theme,
this time on a Warrior. We have a level 5 Warrior
with 1200 ATK and you can Special Summon him by
tributing a Warrior monster. Then, he gets the ATK
of the monster you tributed.
Arguably this card is better than either Maju, just
because it is a Special Summon. He will not get
nearly as big as any of the Maju monsters, but the
surprise of busting out a 3000+ beater for one
tribute is hard to ignore.
An aggro Warrior deck could use him well, as well as
a deck that uses cards that restrict your opponent,
like Royal Decree and Jowgen. He can be very good,
just only in some situations. As most people are
turning to Monarch decks right now, this guy can
really be a thorn in their side if you activate a
Royal Oppression afterwards.

Turret Warrior …
Awesome. Let me just say that, right off the bat. To
the point that either there is some huge errata that
I’m not yet aware of, or expect this guy to get the
hell banned out of him with the quickness.
Want to hear WHY he’s so good? Well, DO ya ?!?!?!
Well, HERE’S why! – First off - he’s a Warrior.
Easily the most supported monster type in the game.
No contest. Earth – an excellent attribute as well.
Especially for warriors. 1200 ATK. For a 5 star
monster, that pretty much sucks. But when u get to
his effect … well, I’ll get to that in a second. But
for now? – 1200 DOES allows him to searched for by
almost any searcher u can think of to play with, so
u should never have a problem getting him into your
hand. And it also allows him to be special summoned
(although u would be an idiot to do this, but if it
is your ONLY option, at least u still have it) by
Giant Rat. The 2000 DEF is pretty fair enough…
His effect … wow. Tribute 1 warrior monster and his
attack increases by that warrior’s attack??!? How
sick is that?!?! In case u can’t “math too well” –
Check it out – if u sack 1 standard 1800 ATK 4 star
warrior, Turret gets boosted by 1800, giving him an
even 3000 ATK points. At this point you should be
thinking – WTF, and going back to reread it to make
sure u aren’t missing something. It doesn’t say “for
the turn”. It doesn’t say ‘tributed monster sent to
graveyard”. Or any other swing wording that can
allow your opponent to get out of a potentially dire
situation through clever semantic shuffling. Heck,
it doesn’t even say – “normal summon this card”,
like they’ve been putting on other cards lately.
Turret is Special Summoned. So u can absolutely do
this on your opening turn, or any turn where you’ve
already normal summon a warrior monster. And god
forbid u have multiple warriors on the field with
multiple Turrets in hand?
Dude is gonna be a nightmare and will end games
quickly.

N o V a
Turret Warrior, a card I really like from the
Crimson Crisis set. Its basically a Cyber Dragon
with more power. You can tribute a Warrior-Type
monster to special summon it, and it gets attack
points equal to the attack of the monster you
tributed to special summon it. So even if its a
warrior with 800 attack, it becomes a 2100 attack
monster. And with all that he still has a solid 2000
defense, I'd say thats pretty good. There really
isn't anything bad about this card, its mostly
because players find better cards to use that they
dont use this card and will probably continue to not
use this card. But in Warrior themed decks as well
as some other decks that can abuse this card, its
pretty good.
