Debris Dragon, an interesting little Rare open our
week, who bares a striking resemblance to Stardust
Dragon...why would that be? Here we have a Level 4
Wind attributed Tuner, who is a Dragon, with 1000
attack and 2000 defense.
Is it clear to you yet? When you Normal Summon
Debris Dragon, you can Special Summon a monster with
500 or less attack from your Graveyard in attack
position. That monsters effect(s) is(are) negated
however.
Not terrible, at least not yet. Odds are you're
choosing another Tuner for a Synchro Summon anyway.
However, Debris Dragon itself cannot be used for
Synchro Summon except for a Dragon type Synchro
Monster...I get why it looks like Stardust now...
If that weren't enough, you can't use other monsters
that are Level 4 meaning two things: either one, you
have to use three monsters to get your other four
stars, or use a tribute monster, and I frown at both
of those options.

Art: 3/5 It DOES look like Stardust Dragon, but in a
deformed almost Zombie sort of way.

Debris Dragon
This is the hyped up version of Junk Synchron. It is
a level 4 Tuner with 1000 ATK and 2000 DEF and is a
WIND Dragon. Those are not the most impressive of
stats, but the fact that it is a level 4 Tuner
should make waves. At this point there are only 5 of
them, Debris, Trap Eater Rose, Eel, and Hyper
Synchron.
The effect is where you get interested in this card.
When it is Normal SUmmoned, you can Special Summon a
monster with 500 or less ATK. The monster's effects
are negated though. There are a few built in
restrictions, like the monster cannot be of level 4
and you have to Synchro with it for a Dragon Synchro
monster.
These restrictions make it hard to abuse this card,
but it can really be a very useful tool for
Synchroing up big monsters quickly. You can use it
with Tuningware to get a draw if there were a level
5 Dragon Synchro. I can really see this guy taking
off if that is the case.
Right now, I don't think he will be played
competitively, but he might be played alongside Junk
Synchron and friends for easy waves of Synchro
Summoning. Alongside a bunch of protection and
removal he can really make a ton of awesome monsters
like Black Rose Dragon and Iron Chain Dragon.

Debris Dragon ...
Hmmm.... well, this guy just isnt what i can
consider good. "Useful"? possibly ... but that's not
the same thing as good.
What's the difference? - Well "useful" is a card
that will do what u require of it, provided that all
u really WANT out of that card and your deck, is one
specific thing. "Good" is a card that can do a
variety of things for u, usually fairly well, in a
variety of situations that may occur.
Debris Dragon is a Wind Dragon ... both a fine
attribute and good monster type. A level 4 Tuner -
also nice. And his ability to special summon a
dragon from your grave (99% of the time to tune
with) is fantastic. But that's about where this card
starts to lose momentum. The stipulations on him
start to hurt him a lot. U can only take a monster
that is 500 ATK or less. Ok, fine. U stil l have
some choices here. Negate that monster's effect? -
uhg. Debris can only be used to Synchro summon a
Dragon type monster? ... uhm ... and THEN u cant
take something that's Level 4??!?!?!
So that means, at THIS point, for what we have
available, Debris Dragon's primary function is a
shortcut to Black Rose Dragon. Because u cant use
his effect to grab another 4 star, he doesnt make
getting 8 star monsters like Stardust or Red Dragon
Archfiend any easier. That leaves BRD (at 7 stars)
as the only viable target right now.
And with 1000 ATK, he's even pretty weak for a 4
star.
If all u care about in life is bringing BRD to the
field, then by all means - Debris is a great guy for
your team. Otherwise? ... wait and be patient. There
is this AWESOME dragon Synchro coming out in Raging
Battle that Debris may be even more useful for,
Till then? Just store him somewhere.

Here are the COTD
reviews.
Debris Dragon, one of the cool cards from Crimson
Crisis, though not a very good card its still a cool
card for looking like Stardust Dragon. When its
Normal Summoned you get to special summon back a
monster with 500 or less attack in attack position
and its effects get negated. Being a level 4 Tuner,
you'd think that it would be easier to bring out
some heavy hitting level 8 synchro monsters, but the
draw back to Debris Dragon is you cant use level 4
monsters with it for synchro summoning, and on top
of that you can only use it to bring out a
Dragon-Type synchro monster.
There are a few good points to this card however.
Its easily summoned and searchable thanks to cards
like Sangan and Masked Dragon. And if you do summon
it out with Masked Dragon, you can special summon it
in defense, with its solid 2000 defense it can be an
obsticle for a lot of cards.
The card is cool looking and I can see some hidden
potential with cards like Tuningware combo'd with
Machine Duplication. Not much else to say about this
card, its nothing to game breaking so in peoples
rare binders it will go for now.

I do not see this
card being any good this format I guess maybe in a
Cyber Dark Deck or Dragon.
