Exploder Dragonwing, another Synchro monster, who is
Level 7 and of the Dark attribute, with 2400 attack
(low) and 1600 defense, (nothing to write home
about.) Here, we are Synchro Summoned by one Tuner
and one or more non-Tuner Dragon-type monsters.
Level 7 is a terrible Synchro Summon generally, 6
and 8 are nice, and even 5 isn't bad, but 7 can be
tough.
Exploder Dragonwing has one hell of a burn effect
though. When battling with a monster who has an
attack equal to or less than his own (2400), his
effect immediately destroys the monster without even
applying damage calculation. As opposed to
yesterday, if you're playing Dragons, I think you
might have a new toy.
However, with only 2400 attack, it's still going to
fall to all your other popular powerhouses, so that
should at least come into effect, one would think,
but it's not a bad card, I do like it better than
yesterdays card.

Exploder Dragonwing
Today's card was supposed to be Exploder Dragonwing,
but due to a mis-communication it got changed to
Exploder Dragon. I will go ahead and review the
Dragonwing then, since you will get the Exploder
Dragon from my colleagues. The Dragonwing has 2400
ATK and is a level 7 DARK Dragon. Not so good there
as we are approaching Red Eyes status. He does need
a Dragon non-Tuner, so that means a Dragon deck can
really abuse him.
The effect is really simple. If he battles a monster
before damage calculation you nuke the opponent's
monster and inflict damage equal to it's ATK. Now if
you have some amazing protection like Solemn
Judgment and Stardust Dragon, then this guy will win
games on his own. Burn effects are powerful now as
evidenced by Dark Strike Fighter and the only limit
on this guy is his Dragon non-Tuner requirement.
In a solid Dragon deck you can really use this guy
to pave the way through cards that would otherwise
hurt you badly like Spirit Reaper or Marshmallon as
well as any other card like a Gladiator or something
like that. Against Lightsworn, this guy is great,a s
they can Honest all they want and they won't change
anything except for the amount of damage they take.
Necro Gardna is a problem, but it is for everyone.
I love this card to death and it is gonna be if
nothing at least fun to play.

Exploder Dragonwing
...
Here we have another Synchro monster, like
yesterday, requiring a certain specificity with its
Synchroniztion ... However, Exploder DW isn't as
stringent as Trident Dragion. You only need a Tuner
and 1 non-tuner Dragon type monster ... Plus at 6
stars, u shouldnt have TOO terrible a time getting
him out ...
That helps a lot with his rating. As does his
healthy attack for his level, and his pretty
convenient effect. We've seen it all before ... but
Exploder DW does it all well. Destroys anything
equal to or weaker than him that he battles with,
BEFORE damage calculations ... that helps to get
over cetain monsters people attempt to use as a wall
... and then the burn damage afterwards? - nice.
Would shine most brightly in a Dragon themed deck,
but ... yeah.
Pretty good card.

Today we continue the
Raging Battle Dragon week with Exploder Dragonwing.
Unlike yesterdays card, "Exploder Dragonwing"
doesn't need a Dragon-Type Tuner monster. Just a
Tuner monster and non-Tuner Dragon-Type monsters.
The way I see it this provides more options for
people. I lack knowledge of how most of the up to
date dragon decks play so I dont exactly know all
possible cards to get this card out, however, I'd
like to get to its effect, since thats what really
makes this card a pretty dangerous force.
When this card does battle with a monster with an
ATK equal to or lower than "Exploder Dragonwing",
you can destroy that monster immediately with its
effect without applying damage calculation, and
inflict damage to your opponent equal to that
monster's ATK. So basically this is just a juiced up
"Elemental Hero Flame Wingman" that looks way cooler
and is 300 ATK stronger.
As I said earlier, I dont really know much about the
current dragon decks, but this card I would always
use in my Extra Deck as it really is a powerful
force for dragon decks.

Today’s card up for review is Exploder
Dragonwing. This card is easier to summon and better
than the card I review yesterday, so that’s good.
Like Trident, this card would seem to be an
exclusive for a Dragon deck, unless you are thinking
of something that I am not haha. I will give this
card props. I really like the burn damage that this
card can deal. I could see this as a game ender, but
I would prefer to bring something out like Dark
Strike Fighter, or even Black Rose Dragon.
Regardless, keep this in your Extra Deck. I could
see this card being brought out, it would really
just depend on the situation, and what point of the
game you are at.

Doesn't Spirit Reaper get on your nerves? Don't you
hate attacking, getting ready for a victory lap
around the store and just watching your opponent
flipping over their set card, revealing that cloaked
party pooper with a smug smile on their face? Isn't
it the bane of your dueling existence?
Wait, what year is this again?
Truth is, Spirit Reaper is not as common place is it
once was. Marshmallon has all but gone. There's just
not enough reason to get this out over something
like Dark Strike Fighter 9 times out of 10.
Don't get me wrong, if your opponent is running
Waboku in their GB deck, and they only have that
face down and nothing else, and you just happen to
have Blizzard Dragon on the field and a Level 3
tuner in hand, go for it! Or if you are staring down
a Spirit Reaper, and you have Horus Lv7 and Sinister
Sprocket, it might be worth it!
But we are now at a stage where we have enough
Synchro monsters to be able to cut most from the
extra deck, and just run the cream of the crop. The
facts of the matter is that the effect will not be
that useful most of the time, and it's too limited
in it's summoning conditions. Run something else
instead.
