This card cannot
be destroyed by Battle with a monster that has the
same ATK. When this card is tribute summoned by
tributing a Dragon-type monster, it gains ATK equal
to half the tributed monster. During battle between
this card and a defense position monster whose DEF
is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the
difference as damage to your opponent.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day holiday,
and we're back reviewing Raging Battle cards this
week, and it's a good one, selected by me! Strong
Wind Dragon, a fun Ultra Rare, who is Level 6 with
2400 attack and 1000 defense (where have we seen
that before?) and a Dragon of the Wind
attribute...*shocked face*
Anyway, first we have a Kaiser Glider type effect,
which is useful, where the monster isn't destroyed
in Battle by a monster with the same attack, and
there are plenty of 2400 attack monsters around.
However, Strong Wind Dragon gains half the attack of
the tributed monster if it's a Dragon, and odds are,
it will be.
Now, it's probably going to be in the 500-750 attack
range, as the monster you tribute probably won't
have more than 1000-1500 attack, but it could be
something strong like Luster Dragon or Spear Dragon
(so 950 there). Anyway, 500 gives you 2900 attack,
and still can't be destroyed by equal attack
monsters.
750 gives you a monster with 3150 attack which is
incredibly powerful, and still, not able to be
destroyed by equal attack, but I can't think of any
monsters who have 3150 base attack...and for my
favorite ability, Strong Wind Dragon has trample :D
Nice monster, solid attack with an increase, and
trample...who can take down powerful Tier one
monsters...Dragons are far more powerful than people
realize...

Strong Wing Dragon ...
There was another monster ... i'm forgetting its
name right now ... that had a similar type of effect
- where if it battled another monster of the same
attack - it wasnt destroyed ... And at the time of
first hearing it, i didnt think much of the effect.
But then i saw it in action ... kinda changed my
tune. 2400 ATK is like the 'industry standard' for a
1 tribute monster ... if u get MORE for 1 tribute, u
are getting a huge bargain ... if u get LESS, then
it better come with some extra fancy features ...
but 2400 is usually the least u could hope for. What
this means is that MOST 1 tribute monsters wont be
able to stand up to this thing. Unless they have a
monarch-like effect to clear it out of the way -
suiciding against Strong Wind just wont work. ...
And thats it u are NOT using him in a pure Dragon
deck, wherein that 1 tribute will most likely carry
him well OVER the 2400 barrier, and straight out
FIGHTING him will then become out of the question.
Even an average 1400 attacker, once tributed will
give Strong Wind over 3000 ATK, giving u the
equivalent of a Blue Eyes on your side of the field.
And what's nicer? He's got a Fairy Meteor in his
back pocket, meaning Defense is a joke against him.
Pretty awesome for Dragons ...

Welcome to another
week of Card of the Day Pojo! We start the week off
with Strong Wind Dragon, one of Jack Atlus' cards. I
like this card a lot, it looks cool and has a pretty
solid effect and stats. Strong Wind Dragon is a
level six wind attributed dragon monster with 2400
attack and 1000 defense. While its on the field it
cannot be destroyed in battle with monsters that
have the same attack as this card. When its tribute
summoned by tributing a dragon monster it gains half
of the tributed monsters attack and it has trample.
I honestly dont see any bad points to this card. Its
one of the best dragon monsters currently out in my
opinion. Imagine tributing Five-Headed Dragon. It'd
be 100 attack points less than Five-Headed Dragon
is, but it'd also have trample. That would do some
seriously heavy damage.
If you are running a dragon deck, this card
seriously is a must. Cards like Twin-Headed Behemoth
and Masked Dragon prove to be excellent tribute food
for this card as well as Tiger Dragon.
