This isn't actually a rare, but if you pull it you
wish it was another holo. This is a Normal Trap that
you can only activate during Damage Calculation on
your opponent's turn. You take no Battle Damage and
then you get to add one Warrior Tuner monster from
your graveyard to your hand if it has less than 1500
DEF.
I do not like this card at all. It is situational
and cannot even be chained to anything at all
really. The only card that you would reasonably be
getting would be Rose, Warrior of Revenge. At this
point you would just run The Warrior Returning Alive
to get back ANY Warrior and then play defensive
cards.
It might have been useful at some point, but that
point is gone.

Spirit Force:
Not bad, but not good? Get back Jutte Fighter and
don't take damage. Too bad your monster still dies,
otherwise this could have been a decent card. There
are way better cards out right now, I don't know why
they bothered making this.

Spirit Force …
Ok, 1st off – this picture ROCKS!! It’s as close to
seeing Vegeta play Yu-Gi-Oh as we’re ever gonna get
… so LOVE IT, people!!!!
As for the effect? – Well, it’s ok … but it has its
drawbacks. The good stuff is that it cancels out
battle damage for one of your opponent’s attacks.
Even sweeter that it kicks off during damage
calculations, as most traps can’t do that. How is
that good? – well, let’s just say that I was dueling
against someone using Injection Fairy Lily last
night … something like this woulda made them *h**
their **n**! And not only does it protect u from
damage for 1 attack, but it also lets u take back a
Warrior Tuner from your grave with less that 1500
DEF. Free monster recursion is always nice.
The downsides to this is that - 1) It only protects
u for 1 attack. Sometimes that’s all u really need,
but people love swarming these days, so sometimes u
may need a lot more. 2) It’s not chainable, nor is
it Heavy Storm or MST lure. Your opponent could very
well pop it before ever entering the battle phase,
much less attacking, and there’s nothing u could do
to make them regret being so hasty 3) It doesn’t
protect your monster from being destroyed by battle,
even if u don’t take the damage. Threatening Roar
and Waboku already do all THREE of these things.
Spirit Force WILL get u a Tuner back, but that’s
only as great as the number of 1500 DEF or less
Warrior Tuners that u are actually PLAYING … even in
a Warrior themed deck, that’s not going to be a
whole lot.
So … yeah. The bad outweighs the good on this one,
but it’s still not the worst thing I’ve ever seen.

Alright, a new day a
new Card of the Day for Pojo! Today we have Spirit
Force, Yu-Gi-Oh! gone Dragon Ball Z. This card is
rather unique but lets just say that the card isn't
going to be used in any tier 1 decks any time soon.
The card in itest would be good if it were a little
different. However being able to add a Warrior-Type
tuner monster with 1500 or less defense from your
Graveyard to your hand isn't a bad effect. Last I
checked we have quite a few Warrior-Type tuner
monsters with less than 1500 defense. Popular ones
such as Rose, Warrior of Revenge and Jutte Fighter.
This card is alright, but decks can use better
choices than this one to improve their chances of
winning and making the player better in doing so.

Interesting effect, quite similar to Defense Draw.
I'm pretty sure that your monsters are destroyed,
but thats just an extra. Adding the tuner to your
hand is whats great. You can recyle your Rose this
way, arguably the best level 4 tuner out there.
However, your opponent has to attack in order to
activate this, and thats a problem, especially if
you need that tuner NOW, and chances are that they
will try to blow it up first. The good thing is that
you can also activate it when you have nothing in
your grave, so it can be handy in an emergency. You
may consider this in a Warrior/synchro deck.
Traditional-1.1/5 I really don't know how tuner/synchro
monsters fare in Trad, but I don't think too well.
Advanced-3.5/5 In a warrior/synchro deck, don't put
this in if you only got 1-2 Warrior tuners
Art-4.5/5 Isn't that the blackwing guy? Doesn't he
use winged beasts? Looks cool though.

Spirit Force is a fairly interesting card, with a
fair bit of variety. Taking no battle damage is
obviously nice, whilst being able to return a tuner
for another Synchro Summon is the icing on the cake.
But it's let down a lot by limitations. Taking no
battle damage is obviously good, but only being able
to use it in damage calculation? Come on. We play in
an age of Waboku and Threatening Roar, chainable
answers to opposing monsters that can stop the
entire amount of damage that happens that battle
phase. To play something that takes away the
chainablity AND the stoppingeverythingability better
have another effect to make up for it.
And yes, Spirit Force does have another effect.
Grabbing back a tuner is very nice. I bet everyone
would like to grab back their Plaguespreader Zombie,
or Krebons, or Blackwing – Gale the Whirlwing.
Awesomes!
Oh wait, no. We're stuck with Jutte Knight, or
Comrade Swordsman of Landstar or Junk Synchron.
Admittedly, Junk Synchron isn't bad. A free Magical
Android is always nice. But Synchron is really the
best of a bad bunch, the best bald hairdresser. It's
certainly no Gale or Plaguespreader.
Two mediocre effects, rolled into one mediocre card.
A chorus of mehs all round, if you will.
