Here we have another card that is not technically a
crap rare, as it is actually pretty good. We have a
Continuous Trap that Special Summons a Psychic
monster from your graveyard and treats it like a
Tuner monster. When one is removed from the field,
you kill the other. And when this card is sent to
the graveyard you lose lifepoints equal to 400x the
level of the monster.
This card is kind of what Psychic decks needed to
pick up the slack that is left by the wistfully
remembered Emergency Teleport. It will not get you
the card that you need from your deck, but it can be
great for pressing for massive damage which is an
asset. Cards like Psychic Commander and Stormcaller
are highly aggressive cards and this helps to
support that.
It can get you any level that you need, but I would
assume that it would mostly be used to get back
Psychic Snail, Krebons and Psychic Commander. As
Psychic monsters can also gain you lifepoints fairly
easily, the lifepoint damage is not really an issue,
but after 1600 it is not really worth it.
This car should be used in Psychic decks, and maybe
a few Synchro heavy decks, as this enables you to
Synchro much more often than you otherwise would
have been able to. All in all a decent card, but it
doesn't really have a place in the format as of now.

Psychic Tuning:
I like and dislike this card. I like that you can
get any Psychic from the grave, but that's the only
good part about it. All the best Psychics are
already tuners so that effect is pointless. The self
burning goes with the Psychic theme, so you can't
say anything about that. The problem with this card
is they printed a much better card in the same set
as a spell. That card is Telekinetic Power Well.

Psychic Tuning …
Remember that spell card … what was its name again?
… ahh, yes – Premature Burial … we paid 800 LP to
special summon a monster from the grave that stayed
so long as the card attached to it stayed with it.
Let’s say now that we are playing a Psychic deck …
how much would we pay for that same type of monster
revival in Trap form? … keeping in mind that we no
longer have our dear friend Call of the Haunted at
our disposal … Well, assuming we use Psychic Tuning
to grab a standard level 4 Psychic Monster, if it
leaves the field – it will cost us 1600 LP. Twice
the price of what we would have happily paid for
Premature Burial … even MORE than that if that
monster had MORE than 4 stars … is this WORTH it?
Well, sometimes having a monster on the field can be
all the difference that saves u for one more turn,
or totally swings the game back in your favor. It s
definitely worth it to lose a heck’uv’a’lotta LP if
the other alternative is getting swarmed and
demolished. Plus, there is no guarantee that u’ll
even lose anything … If your monster is strong
enough – it could be JUST what u need to take the
game back and win, never having to pay 1 LP. Need
more incentive? – The monster comes back as a Tuner,
meaning that it has a new trick up its sleeve that
it may not have had before … of course using it to
Synchro summon does send it off the field, so u will
then take the LP hit, but if u are prepared for it
already and have things set up right – it could
totally be worth it.
Psychic Deck? – Play this mutha!

Psychic Tuning is such
a cool card, personally I'd love to make my own
Psychic deck. This card allows you to special summon
a Psychic-Type monster in your Graveyard and it
becomes a tuner monster. When this cards sent to the
Graveyard you take damage equal to the monsters
level x 400. A somewhat steep price for a level 4
Psychic-Type tuner monster, but I'd say its a decent
price. Being able to get out Hyper Psychic Blaster
and Thought Ruler Archfiend, even Magical Android
too.
This card is a must for decks based on Psychic-Type
monsters, as it allows easier Synchro Summons for
higher level Synchro Monsters, whether it be
Psychic-Type Synchro Monsters or just high level
Synchros.

Woot, I get to review a card that I Maindeck (yes I
use Psychics). I am kind of iffy on this. Basically
a Call of the Haunted for psychics, with a vicious
side effect. I think this is the only way to get a
Level 9 tuner, for whatever reason you might want
one. Quite easy to grab level 4 tuners with the turn
into tuner effect. The effect can be annoying
though, when you only have tuners on the field, and
trust me, that happens alot in a psychic deck. This
can be a good emergency defense, but God help you if
you they MST or Dust tornado you. I have lost many
games from this. 3200 damage from a Thought Ruler;
seems worth it to me, however, if it wins you the
game. Taking damage is always better than paying
Life Points, you can use PMD, or a potential combo
with this is with Spell of Pain/Barrel Behind the
Door. Add in Brain Exploitation Research Lab,
Reversal Burn Psychics may make an appearence, who
knows?
Traditional-1/5 Hahaha you will lose before you can
put anything decent in the grave, and even if you
do, they will just laugh as their CED hits 7000 on
you.
Advanced-4.5/5 In a psychic deck, 1/5 elsewhere, you
have graceful revival for krebons.
Art-3/5 Is that Emergency Teleport from another
view? Idk, but low detail in my opinion.

Tuning. Psychics. They go together like “Boom goes
the dynamite” and monotone voices. So when a new
card that involves tuners and Psychics comes along,
it's all too easy to lose your heads and proclaim it
the return of TeleDAD. But chances are, the object
of the hype is nothing more than a colourful
coaster.
But on this occasion, it's not half bad. It's
basically a Call of the Haunted for Psychic
monsters. In addition, it has a built in tuner ray,
turning whatever you get back into a tuner, before
stabbing you in the back when you dare to Synchro
with your new tuner. But, it's hardly a massive
amount, I can live with that payment. The tuner ray
has little use either, as chances are you'd be
bringing back a Krebons or Psychic Commander with
it's effect.
The major problem I see with this card is that there
is simply a better option – Telekinetic Power Well.
It can grab you two Krebons in one go, unlike
Psychic Tuning. It can be used instantly, unlike
Psychic Tuning. It's just better in every way. It
enables game breaking plays to be made more often
and more consistently.
Psychic Tuning is a good card, and there are far
worse things you could be running. But just run
Power Well instead.
