Evocator Chevalier …

Evoc, for short … And a Gemini monster to end the week (surprise, surprise …) … but a good one.

Evoc comes out the box with good stats, for the most part. 1900 ATK is almost the best u can ask for a 4 star monster these days … ahhh … remember the good old days when Gemini Elf was something of amazement? Now? … lol … anyways, 1900 ATK on a 4 star body, although Evoc’s DEF leaves a lot to be desired … But that’s ok. He’s fire attribute … uhm … Ok. No harm there. He’s a Warrior – always awesome. And he’s a Gemini, as I’ve said.

Gemini’s have been getting a big push and support lately, as u can tell from this week’s batch of cards, plus stuff coming up in the new set, so Evoc has a lot to play with. When u look at his effect when 2nd summoned – u can see how extra awesome he is. Chances are, to make the new generation of Geminis work, u will be playing a lot more equip cards that u are accustomed to. Evoc will love and thank u for it since he can send something equipped to the grave to destroy 1 card on the field. Spell, trap, monster, set, face-up – whatever. He can pop it. And the equip card doesn’t even have to be equipped to HIM. U just have to control it. … Yeah, there aint much more to say on that … It’s a great effect. And there’s a lot more these days to make the effect doable and reusable with minimal effort.

If u are playing Geminis outside of that boring (but strong) Giga-crap deck, then I highly endorse Evoc for County Legislature… and by that, I mean – play 2 or 3 of him.

Its Friday and we look at possibly the best Gemini monster in the game, or at least is up there with Gigaplant, Blazewing and etc. Evocator Chevalier is one heck of a good card. Solid 1900 attack, low defense and when it has its effect, you can send a face-up equip spell you control to the graveyard to destroy a card your opponent controls. You can do this multiple times in a turn. Its quite a shame though, imagine if this effect destroyed and sent to the graveyard instead of just sent. Why do I say this you ask? Butterfly Dagger - Elma needs to be destroyed and sent to the graveyard for its other effect to work. If Dagger worked with Evocator, you could wipe out a players entire field in one turn. However it doesn't work that way. Now there is something nearly as good. Divine Sword - Phoenix Blade can be put back in your hand by removing 2 Warriors from play. Say you have a graveyard full of Warriors, enough to destroy your opponents whole field, and add Phoenix Blade to your hand over and over, now you play your face down Return from the Different Dimension. Well this isn't completely likely but it is possible, probably more so in a Magical Merchant based gemini deck with a bunch of warriors. Either way this monsters effect is pretty kick butt and if played right, well it could probably decide the match for you.

Evocator Chevalier

Here we have Evocator Chevalier, Today's Card of the Day.

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● You can send 1 face-up Equip Card you control to the Graveyard to destroy 1 card your opponent controls.

Here’s the other super from the new structure deck, Mr. Chevy. Even though this card’s name is ridiculously bad, his effect and stats are overall pretty good. He gets points for being a warrior and being a 1900 which is a big bonus.  Being fire is meh, but hey not everything can be dark and light. His effect is solid and if you are running equips, which warriors like to, can be a big boost. For each equip you can pop a card on the field, this happens of course after he has been Gemini summoned. With supervise this can create great advantage since you can gain his effect and after supervise is removed to destroy something you get a Gemini out. This card can be useable, but it’s too bad Gemini monster are so dependent on supervise. In a deck without supervise this card is really no better than your average beater.

Evocator Chevalier, a 1900 warrior beatstick and a gemini. Solid stats and a good card for any deck that runs equip spells. It acts like a snipe hunter where when you send a face up equip spell from your field to the grave you can blow up any card on the field. A solid addition to any deck based around equips.
