Today’s card up for review is Core Compression. It is without a doubt a staple in Koaki decks.. Why might you ask? Any deck will want to use a draw card, especially for their theme. A draw card in a deck, especially one that lets you pitch something then draw, is vital and helps even out/strengthen your hand. Not sure what else has to be said about it, the card makes a Koaki deck a little better, and helps strengthen the hand.

Adv: 5/5(For Koaki decks of course)

Core Compression ...

This one is a super easy one. It's crap.

Anyone who pays attention/cares knows that i HATE the Koa'Ki Meiru deck type. And this garbage attempts to lend it a hand. A card that helps u draw should be a GOOD thing, right? Well not only must u be holding an Iron Core already in order to make it work, but then u must also discard a Koa'Ki Meiru monster to activate this. 1 condition may be passable. But needing BOTH??? ... This card is not only dead in hand as a top-deck, but it's also dead in hand regardless of whatever your NEXT draw is too. Add to the fact that it only services god awful Koa'Ki Meirus? - This could be the worst draw card they ever made.

Hello pojo! My name is Alex and im known as DonZaloog1227 on the forums. I enjoy music, sports, video games and of course yugioh! I will be reviewing cards on the main site now. If you want to know more about me message me on pojo! Now that I told you about myself lets move on to the review.

Now this is what Koa'ki Meirus needed! Drawing cards will improve the deck greatly by making it a lot faster. Having to reveal Iron Core is a bit of a drawback but in a sense this is destiny draw for koa'ki meiru monsters. Koa'ki Meirus are a deck that continues to improve with every set and will be more playable as a deck with the release of Stardust Overdrive.
Dark Paladin Monday

Core Compression...a ridiculously simple Magic Card, obviously for Iron Core Decks...but is it any good? In short, you reveal one Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru in your Hand, and then discard a Koa'ki Meiru monster to activate this card. As a reward, you get to Draw 2 cards.

In short, you break even here...you play this card, revealing the monster in your Hand doesn't count for much, but the discard makes this a two-for-two. It a semi-staple at least, the big discard being you need to have the specific monster in your Hand to reveal to activate this card.

Ratings:

3/5 for the Koa'ki Meiru Deck

Art: 2.5/5
NoVa Core Compression, the "Destiny Draw" of the Koa'ki Meiru monsters. Pretty simple card, reveal a Iron Core in your hand and discard a Koa'ki Meiru monster to draw 2 cards. As I believe I've stated in previous reviews, Koa'ki Meiru decks cannot work with all the different types of Koa'ki Meiru monsters. The way the Koa'ki Meiru deck really works is by simply revealing the Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru in your hand for card effects. There are multiple good cards that only reveal the Iron Core. Core Compression is one of those cards. Yes, the deck needs Koa'ki Meiru monsters, but the best way to go about that is with Koa'ki Meiru Dooms, Koa'ki Meiru Boulders and Koa'ki Meiru Guardians, with possible Koa'ki Meiru Tornados. Core Comptression is a must in a Koa'ki Meiru Deck but only the decks that reveal Iron Core rather than send it to the graveyard are the good decks.
