Solidarity, a Continuous piece of crap...I mean
Magic card. I don't see why you would play this
card...ever. It's far too situational, and while a
Deck could be built around it...sort of, maybe,
kinda, possibly...I wouldn't waste my time on it.

1/5 both formats

Today’s card up
for review is Solidarity. This card has a very solid
effect, and has potential in theme decks, but theres
one big problem. Theme decks cannot work(Besides
Lightsworn and Blackwing), and especially ones that
have Continuous Spells in them. A few years back, I
would have been in love with this card, but sadly
the game is too advanced for something like this to
work and be competitive. On the casual level though,
you could make a nifty themed deck with this

Solidarity ...
Not bad. Not bad at all. It rewards those dedicated
players that insist on playing a monster type theme
deck to the very strictest letter. And once there,
think of Solidarity as a mega 1-sided old school
field spell. Remember those that read things like -
"increase the ATK of all Fish, Sea Serpent, and Aqua
type monsters by 200 points"? Well so long as u only
have ONE monster type in the grave and on the field
- boost that monster by 800 points. And ONLY your
monsters. That's nearly an Axe of Despair for every
one of your monsters so long as u remain in theme.
Not too shabby.
Now its a continuous spell, so obviously its a
sitting duck on the field for spell/trap removal.
But then so is pretty much everything else these
days, so we cant really hold that against this card.
Its only real drawback is that there are only a
small amount of successful deck types that can play
well with strictly ONE monster type. The best of
which is probably the Blackwings, and then also
Zombies. But the good news is that these are both
excellent decks to play.
Good ol' Solidarity.

Oh yes, here we have
it. The long awaited Solidarity! This card can be
AWESOME in the right deck. Any decktype that runs
one central type of monster (Six Samurai and
Harpies) would strongly benefit from it. As far as
tier 1 decks go I think this could see some play in
blackwings because the central type of the deck is
winged beasts. The 800 atk boost would make all the
blackwings huge beatsticks. 2500 attack Bora? 2600
attack shura? 2800 attack sirocco? YES SIR! This
card has a ton of potential. Try it out in your
Blackwing, Six Samurai, or Harpie deck.

Solidarity, a really
good card for specifically type themed decks. Major
type decks you would see are Blackwings(without
Grepher of course), Dinosaurs, Machines and various
others. This card gives an 800 attack boost which is
enough to really run over a lot of monsters you
would see people opening with. Most monsters people
use are around 1800 attack, and if lower and in a
type based deck, they generally still have enough
attack to get over most monsters level 4 or lower,
of course. Solidarity works well with Moja,
Dinosaurs and Blackwings more than any other deck.
Zombies are another deck you could use Solidarity in
as well as Spellcasters but Zombies generally need
other types to make them better with some of the
cards they did need banned or limited.
