One for One, an incredibly simple Magic card that is now Restricted that allows you to send one Monster Card from your Hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon one Level 1 Monster from your Hand or Deck.

All right, let's start with the basics here...One for One, appropriately named, is actually a Two for One...at least in terms of actual cards, as you give up the Monster discard, and this card. Next, this obviously doesn't matter much, as you're most likely Synchro Summoning, and probably winning this turn.

Finally, the fact that you can Special Summon the card from your Hand or your Deck is awesome. If you don't have the necessary monster(s) to Synchro Summon, you should still have your Normal Summon after, so that's great too.

General Zorpa One for One

There is not a lot to say about this card. it is a Normal Spell in that you discard a card and Special Summon a level one monster from your deck. This is not nearly as game breaking as othe rcards out there. It does allow you to access King of the Skull Servants, Cyber Valley, XX-Saber Ragigura and a few other gems.

The card was limited because of the X-Saber handless deck, in which it was used to fetch the crucial Ragigura and speed the deck to Cheetah proportions. It would hae seen play in a really cool Skull Servant deck, but instead it was limited, and will only make that deck slightly better.

You can still use this card to great effect, but until there are more of them to use, it will not see nearly as much play as it should have.

One for One …

Seems like a simple enough spell card, right? …

One for One is one of those spells that u SWEAR is good, but u have trouble putting your finger on just WHY exactly … The answer is - its versatility and combo potential. Before even beginning to imagine WHICH cards u would be pitching and grabbing, the first words that will hook u are - “send 1 monster in your hand to the graveyard”. In this day and age – shooting from the grave is all the rage, so it’s a non-stop search for new ways to put monsters in the graveyard, short of losing them in battle or waiting till your hand is full. Then the 2nd part – “special summon from deck” is what reels u in. Any free summon is a welcome one. So a card that allows u to do both things should instantly tell that it’s worth playing.
&nb sp;
But then u start to scratch your noodle when u see that u only get a level 1 monster … not bad, so then the question is WHICH monster?? – Tuners are always a popular choice. Mind Master – everyone seems to love – will fit the bill quite nicely. The new Vayu does so as well. Treeborn Frog, if nothing else. Cyber Valley – I’ve used before. There's a bunch, so dig in your binders, piles of commons, and use ur imagination.

Even if u aren’t getting the most usage of the level 1 monster u bring, if NOTHING else – u can just tribute it for a Monarch or something, as u still have your normal summon to play with.

Yeah, I’m done talking about this. It’s a good card, damnit.

One for One, quite the over looked card till the ban list. One for One allows you to send 1 Monster Card in your hand to the Graveyard, then you Special Summon 1 Level 1 monster from your hand or deck. At first a lot of people would probably think: "What Level 1 monster would I ever use?". Well, lets make a list of some level one monsters that decent or good decks would and can use.

Cyber Valley - SalvoDAD
Alien Ammonite - Aliens
Treeborn Frog - Monarchs
Mind Master - Monarchs
Fortune Lady Light - Fortune Ladies

Now there are probably more I haven't mentioned but above are some really good examples. Cyber Valley especially, seeing as how you can use Machine Duplication on it to get what you lost for One for One's cost back. With it at 1 on the list, and its many targets its not much of a surprise that it got limited.
