Transforming Sphere
#JUMP-EN042 Once per turn, you can select 1 face-up Defense Position monster your opponent controls. Discard 1 card and equip the opponent's selected monster to this card (you can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect). This card gains ATK of the equipped monster. If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. During the End Phase, the monster equipped with this card by this card's effect is Special Summoned to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Defense Position.

Transforming Sphere, is a very interesting monster,
and I'm not sure as to whether or not I like it.
We have a Union monster of sorts, although not
specifically specified as the type. We have a
Level 3, Wind attributed, Winged-Beast type monster
with 100 attack and defense.
Transforming Sphere can once per turn seclet a
face-up Defense position mosnter your opponent
controls. You then must discard one card and
the selected monster is equipped to this card, and
Transforming Sphere gains the attack of the equipped
monster.
This is a rather unique ability, but you are
obviously limited somewhat that you can only choose
a defense position monster. The potential this
card could have had if it could steal any card?
Anyway, after attacking, Transforming Sphere
transfers to defense position.
Furthermore, during the End Phase, the monster
equipped to this card by its own effect, is Special
Summoned back to your opponent's side of the Field,
in face-up Defense position. So, you have to
discard AND you only keep possession of the monster
for the turn...
Ratings:
Traditional: 1.5/5
Advanced: 2.5/5 You better win if
you use this card, in say, the
turn you use the effect.

Transforming Sphere ...
Its a holo ... and its got a lot of words on it ...
and its a promo, right? ... so it's gotta be DECENT,
right???
Wrong. It's lame. Crappy ATK and DEF, especially for
its level. It attribute really ain't the best for
its monster type (dark winged beasts are better than
wind - duh!), and its effect? - a whole lot of work
for such an average play ... U get to snatch and
attach your opponent's monster ... great. But u only
get the ATK boost, u switch into DEF mode after u
attack, and u don't even get to KEEP the monster.
While u have it, u don't even get the equipped
monster's effect ... that MIGHT have been something
... but it's not. It's less than something. It's
nothing.
Pretty pointless.

Transforming Sphere is
a rather odd card. It requires the opponent to have
a face-up Defense monster and discard a card, then
you can equip their defense monster to Transforming
Sphere, and it gains the attack of the equipped
monster. But thats not all. Its changed to defense
position at the end of the Battle Phase, and during
the end phase the equipped monster is special
summoned to your opponents field in defense
position. Having 100 defense leaves it wide open to
basically every monster in the game. Another point
I'd like to make is that most players rarely put
monsters in defense position, at least face up
anyways, unless they feel like their opponent may
have Mirror Force. The upside to this card is if you
can make it work and keep it protected, you can move
a monster out of the way from their field to power
up Sphere till the end of the turn. Regardless, this
card will not really see any play in any deck and I
highly suggest not running it unless you build a
deck that is based around this card.

Transforming Sphere:
This card could have been decent... IF you didn't have
to discard a card to activated the effect, or if it
didn't require you to take a face-up/defense
position monster. Why discard a card to get
rid of your opponent's monster (only temporarily)
and give your 100 Atk monster a boost? You
could just use high Atk monsters to begin with, and
that card you are discarding could just be monster
removal of some form that would actually remove the
monster from the field permanently. Not to
mention with only 100 Def, when it switches itself
to Def position at the end of your turn, that pretty
much guarantees that it's going to be destroyed next
turn by ANY monster your opponent should happen to
draw. This card doesn't do anything well
enough to warrant use.
