Chivalry, a card that looks like it is targeting
Maruading Captain perhaps, (I could be wrong, and if
so, odd, as this card wouldn't target the good
Warrior...) is a very interesting, yet simple
Trap...and I like it, I like it a lot.
Only able to be activated during the Battle
Phase, you can negate the activation of the effect
of an opponent's Monster and destroy that card...I
like it a lot. It is a little restrictive in the
fact that it has to be during the Battle Phase, but
for a plus, it doesn't require a cost.
I'd at least side one if these effects are a big
enough deal in your area, as they likely are, but it
could be good enough for the Deck :)

Chivalry …
This card is very interesting …
It’s a great effect and although seemingly
situational, it actually stops a whole hell’uv’a
lot!
It’s counter trap, so it’s the fastest thing u
can do in this game, so it will knock out just about
anything your opponent pulls (monster related), and
since it doesn’t specify that your opponent’s
monster has to be on the field – just IMAGINE the
world of possibilities. The Rykos and flip effect
guys, obviously. But then also the recruiters and
Sangans of the world that like to kick off in the
graveyard. But it doesn’t stop there! If I’m
understanding it right, Chivalry should also stop
and negate Honest and Kalut and Necro Gardna and
Battle Fader and whatever other effect monster
tricks and gimmicks your opponent doesn’t think u
see coming, just cuz they have no facedown spells or
traps on the field.
It’s a very nice piece of insurance.
I … I kinda love it …

Today's card is something my idiot friend traded
away... *inaudible grumbling* This card looks at
Shura and says NO. Firedog. NO. Honest. NO. Kalut.
NO. Chivalry stops recruiters and those two dreaded
attack boosters nobody loves. Stopping Honest in
Kalut is really all this does, though, because cards
like Dimensional Prison will stop Shura and Flamvell
Firedog BEFORE they destroy your precious, precious
Winged Kuriboh.
Nothing kills Honest and Kalut quite like this,
but it doesn't really justify running it... That
being said, though, this is the perfect anti-Blackwing
card. It also stops Armor Master and Armed Wing!
3.2/5 (pick a number ya hooligan!)
Art: HMM!!! (What does any of this have to do with
Chivalry?)
Fun Fact: Pokemon Black & White has seasons. Game
Freak won't stop!
Tomorrow: Don't make me turn this salvation around!

Today is an interesting Counter Trap Card,
Chivalry. It will negate any Effect Monster, as long
as it is activating during the Battle Phase.
The first thing that many people will think is,
Gladiator Beasts.
Although this will hit them, I'd definitely
recommend Swallow Flip or Mirror of Oaths if you're
side decking this for them. This can only work on
them after they've already done away with your
monster.
Other than being mediocre against Gladiator Beasts,
Chivalry is actually very good. Here's just a short
list of common threats that Chivalry stops cold.
Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
Tragoedia
Battle Fader
All recruiters (Emmersblade, Tomato, Nova Summoner,
etc.) All searchers (Sangan, Darksoul, Goblin
Zombie, Dupe Frog) All "destroy by battle" effects (Shura,
Firedog) All Flip Effects (Ryko, GK Spy, Hamster)
XX-Saber Fullhelmknight X-Saber Airbellum
Doomcaliber Knight Stardust Dragon Red Dragon
Archfiend Colossal Fighter Goyo Guardian Ally of
Justice Catastor Marshmallon Spirit Reaper Light and
Darkness Dragon Honest Blackwing - Kalut the
Moonshadow Herald of Perfection
And that's just the most common stuff. There's a ton
of uses for this card. Many people will instantly
say Divine Wrath is better, due to its versatility,
but Chivalry is nearly just as versatile, and
cost-free!
Divine Wrath wins in many scenarios, of course.
Chivalry won't hit Monarchs, Black Rose Dragon,
Brionac, Gottoms, Faultroll, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal
Dragon, Mezuki, Stratos, Gearframe, Hyunlei... the
list goes on. Despite Chivalry's wide range of
effects to negate, you're still missing out on a lot
of important things. If your deck can handle the
discard, Divine Wrath is still often the better
choice.
It's a very tough decision.
Traditional: 1/5 I guess it nails Cyber Jar or Black
Luster Soldier, but it's probably not going to
matter.
Advanced: 3.8/5 Divine Wrath with no discard is
amazing, but it does still miss out on some big
effects.
Art: Freed is always cool, I approve.
