Karakuri Ninja MDL 339 "Sazank"

That almost gave me a headache...Level 3, Earth attribute, 1200 attack and defense, a Machine, which is appropriate given the picture.  Anyway, the card has to attack when able, and when selected as an attack target, change back to defense position...

When this card is flipped up, select one face-up monster on the Field and send it to the Graveyard.  During the turn this card is flipped up, it can attack directly.  So, it has to attack, and can attack directly if flipped face up...

Which destroys a face up monster also while flipped face up.  This guy is really good for a turn, or for a flip heavy Deck, remember when those use to be popular?  I mean, he's perfect use for a turn almost, but likely to die after that.

Today's card is Karakuri Ninja. Um... The Sazank one. He's got solid stats and a sneaky flip effect that's like Man-Eater Bug, but doesn't destroy, so it gets around Stardust. Then, it can attack directly, but it probably won't, because you'll probably want it to destroy a monster. He also has the standard defensive ability to shield you from suicides and battle damage.

You may be thinking, "Woah! This guy's the new Ryko!" but you'd be wrong. Ryko can also hit spells and traps, and most importantly, Ryko can also mill. And that's a pretty big thing. Ryko would see a lot less use if he didn't help to dump cards into the grave.

3/5
Art: He's ugly.
Fun Fact: Dark Dawn left me dangling off a cliff.
Tomorrow: WATT is this supposed to be?

Hey Pojo, David the Nameless here with the Karakuri Ninja. This card is very essential to any Karakuri deck. Its effect says that when this card is flipped, it sends one monster on the field to the graveyard. First of all, it gets rid of stardust dragon. Next, it is able to be searched out with Karakuri merchant and all the Karakuri support. But also, its next effect not being so good, is the turn is flipped face up, it can attack directly. This effect is not so good, but I guess it can come in handy, sometimes when you can’t kill their monster by battle, you can just attack over it to your opponent’s life points. The one downside to this card is its star level. Being a level 3 monster, you can’t go into the Karakuri shogun.

Today we will be taking a look at Karakuri Ninja Mdl 339 “Sazank”. Karakuri Ninja Mdl 339 “Sazank” is a Level three Earth Machine Monster with twelve hundred Attack and Defense. Its effect reads; This card must attack if able. When this face-up Attack Position card is selected as an attack target, change it to Defense Position. When this card is flipped face-up, select 1 face-up monster on the field, and send it to the Graveyard. During the turn this card is flipped face-up, it can attack your opponent directly.

The low Defense of this card will keep this from seeing much play, if it had a good Defense like Snowman Eater or Legendary Jujitsu Master then this would have some potential but it doesn’t. Since it doesn’t have the bulk to withstand most Monster’s Attack it will be destroyed before it can use it’s effect. The only way I could see this working is if you have two Burden Of The Mighty’s in play or something to that extent.

In the Traditional Format the Battle Phase isn’t very important so this arch type as a whole won’t see much play.

Bottom line:
There are cards that do this card’s job better.
