Not much to say about Junk Sychron...works well with
Quilbolt Hedgehog (tomorrow's card) as we have seen
Yusei do, but there are far better Tuner's than
this, and neither this, nor Quilbot Hedgehog are
very good.

Junk Synchron
This was the original good level 3 Tuner. Since it
has been replaced by Airbellum and Gale, but it
still has the amazing ability to make Synchros come
out of nowhere just for a Normal Summon. Junk
Synchron is a level 3 EARTH Warrior with 1300 ATK
and 500 DEF. This is good because you can search it
out with Rat and Reinforcements of the Army and
reuse it with A Warrior Returning Alive.
The effect is simple, you Special Summon a level 2
monser from your graveyard upon his Normal Summon
with it's effects negated whil eit is on the field.
Basically the ideal play is to Synchro for a level 5
Synchro like Catastor or Magical Android, or even
Junk Warrior if you are getting desperate.
He is a good solid little card, but since the card
he gets back has to be level 2 or lower, it is
definitely morelimited than the clearly superior
Debris Dragon. He does have his stats going for him,
but he still will likely not see play at the top
tables until he gets a real partner in crime.

Junk Synchron …
Not even going to get into this one too much … He
may as well be the Dark Magician or the Winged
Kuriboh of Yu-Gi-oh 5D’s. When Synchro monsters were
introduced to the game, Junk Synchron was there
taking coats and serving drinks. He is straight up
one of the best Tuners in the game. Not THEE best,
but definitely top 5. He’s normal summoned and u get
to special summon a level 2 or lower monster from
your graveyard. The monster comes out in DEF
position, so u can’t attack with it, and its effect
is negated … but u KNOW what you’re supposed to do
with it, so none of that matters. Junk Synchron
being level 3 himself mean that u now have at LEAST
a level 5 Synchro monster in your future. (Magical
Android is still probably the best choice in that
situation) If u got a Treeborn Frog out before all
this, then u can have a level 6. If u had OTHER
things on the field, tokens, or Quilbolts floating
around … well then u have a host of other
possibilities. And that’s what this guy is all
about. Creating possibilities. Plus, his 1300 ATK
ain’t GREAT … and u will rarely need to fight with
him ANYWAY … but it can give out respectable enough
damage (given its level), should the need arise.
If u have a fair amount of level 2 or lower
monsters in your deck and u need a Tuner? – This
should be one of your top choices. Oh, and plus he’s
a Dark Warrior, even though he looks like a machine.
So he gets all the support that those two aspects
afford him … which is TONS.

Junk Synchron. Oh, my, god. This card, is
actually very broken. When its normal summoned you
can special summon back one level 2 or lower monster
in your graveyard. Lets look at a list of good level
2 or lower monsters you can bring back with Junk
Synchron, shall we?
- Tuningware
- Darksea Rescue
- Cyber Valley
- Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter
- Flamvell Poun
- Quillbolt Hedgehog
And the list can go on honestly. The point here
being it allows for easy synchro summons for level 5
monsters, and even on occasion a level 7 or level 8
monster. There is a reason why I said this card is
broken however. Later on this year, we're obviously
going to get our 2010 Starter Deck, in which, is
again obviously an Ultra Rare card. Lets just take a
look at it real quick:
Junk Destroyer
EARTH/Warrior - Synchro - Effect/8/2600/2500
"Junk Synchron" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
When this card is successfully Synchro Summoned, you
can select and destroy a number of cards on the
field up to the number of non-Tuner monsters used as
Synchro Material for the Synchro Summon of this
card.
This is actually very, very good. Considering we
have at our disposal 3 The Tricky, 3 Blackwing -
Sirocco the Dawn and 2 Cyber Dragon now, as well as
eventually 3 Vice Dragon, it would be really easy to
bring out Junk Destroyer. Now, there is a monster
that makes Junk Synchron and Junk Destroyer even
better. Quickdraw Synchron as most of you may
already know, is a level 5 tuner monster that can
special summon itself by discarding 1 monster, and
it can be used for the synchro summon of any synchro
monster that requires 1 "Synchron" monster.
Considering Junk Destroyer needs a "Synchron"
monster, Quickdraw should do nicely with Junk
Synchron and Junk Destroyer.

Junk Synchron:
A fun card to be sure. He makes summoning level 5
synchros a snap and has all the right attributes
(dark, warrior). A few decks have been built
around abusing the card's powerful effect of
reviving synchro fodder from the graveyard when
normal summoned. Junk 'n Debri decks couple
Junk Synchron with Debri Dragon along with some Neo-Spacians,
Armageddon Knight/Dark Grepher, Cross Porter, and
Convert Contact. This makes for an interesting
(yet inconsistent) draw and mill engine, quickly
filling the graveyard with Porters and Spacians for
Junk Synchron and Debri Dragon to revive and use.
The deck can then recycle everything with
POAs. Junk Synchron can also revive other tuners
from the graveyard (like Plaguespreader) for
multiple synchro summons in one turn if there are
other monsters on your field already or Brain/Mind
Control is at your disposal. "Synchron"
monsters keep coming out set after set it seems, and
support for them slowly trickles in. For now,
they need a bit more before any of them can be
extremely competitive.

Junk Synchron…
yet another card this week I am surprised to find
has never been reviewed before.
Dabbling on
the Nintendo DS, I realized how strong this card is.
The catch is that it requires a deck built
for it and with
Reinforcements of the Army and
Foolish
Burial both at one that has become much harder.
If you have an adequate amount
of Level 1
and 2 monsters in your deck (and the means to get
them into your Graveyard), this becomes an instant
Synchro monster.
It might only be good enough for a Level 4 or
5 Synchro monster, but that’s enough for a decent
beatstick at the least.
Taking full advantage of the effect really breaks
this card open.
The monsters revived have their effects
negated, but apparently only as long as they are on
the field; after being sent to the Graveyard effects
will work again.
I don’t completely follow the logic, but
apparently something like
Hand of
Nepthys will not work because it is
activated on the field, even though it resolves in
the Graveyard and tributing both monsters is a cost.
I don’t quite get that, given that something
like Nimble
Momonga still works and of course the infamous
case of
Exiled Force versus
Skill Drain
for the exact reason that
Hand of
Nepthys doesn’t.
Still, despite hiccups like these there are
some excellent combos and I mentioned one earlier:
The
Calculator and
Junk Warrior.
If you want to go for the full effect, you
can use the effect of
Junk Synchron
to revive a copy of
The
Calculator, use
Inferno
Reckless Summon to get two more out, then
Synchro Summon the inert one for
Junk Warrior.
This provides an incredibly easy way to get
out three massive beatsticks, and the two main
pieces of the combo are solid cards in their own
right.
Still, in the end it’s not a top Tuner choice since
you do have to pad your deck a little with lower
level monsters.
Many decks will have one or two targets for
revival, but not enough to be reliable.
Without a revived monster,
Junk Synchron
is just junk Tuner.
