Dark Paladin
Synchro Blast Wave, a simple and fun Magic card.  You have a face-up Synchro monster, destroy one monster your opponent controls.  It's not bad, but I honestly don't see you having room for it in the Deck.  It will be less useful more often than not.

Nevertheless,

This is a Normal Spell that I am not fond of at all. If you control a Synchro, you can destroy one monster your opponent controls. The bad thing is that you have to have a Synchro, but if you can get wround that with using card slike Junk Synchron and DEbris Dragon to Synchro Summon every turn, this card might be right for you.

For most decks, the restriction is too big and Smashing Ground and Nobleman of Crossout are better.

Synchro Blast Wave …

Meh. This card ain’t very good. Basically – if/when u have a Synchro monster out, u can destroy 1 monster your opponent control. There is SO much monster destruction and u have SO many options to choose from, that this card really needs to have something special to it to justify its use … or at least no glaring drawback to make u think – “what’s the point?” Smashing Ground is back at 3. People still use Fissure, and god knows what else. SBW’s advantage over these cards is that it has pointed destruction. U destroy the monster that u want to destroy, not the one that has the highest DEF, which is HOPEFULLY the problem Monster that u are trying to get around … as well SBW can destroy a face-down monster as well. That being said – in many situations cards like Smashing Ground that DON’T target are better, as many monsters have effects that negate things that target them. SBW would be useless. But its MAJOR flaw is the necessity of controlling a Synchro monster before u can use it. Most people play Synchros anyway, but decking a card that is only operational at the time that u are controlling a Synchro? … when u have better cards available that can get u the same results whether or NOT u have a Synchro out?

Yep. That’s a deal breaker!

We finish the week off with Synchro Blast Wave. Which is a pretty sick card if I may say so myself. So long as you have a synchro monster out, you can activate it, and you can destroy ANY monster your opponent controls, this means it can even be face-down, it can be a face-up defense monster, face-up attack position and so on. Pretty much a free Smashing Ground that lets you pick what monster you want to destroy. The only real issue with this card is that it doesn't fit into decks that are unable to synchro summon within the first or second turn, because if the deck cannot synchro summon fast enough or keep a synchro monster out long enough to activate Synchro Blast Wave, it can turn into a dead handed card. Regardless in a deck based on Quickdraw Synchron, this card I'd suggest using in 3. It is really easy to Synchro Summon with the Quickdraw Synchron deck, so 3 copies of Synchro Blast Wave shouldn't be a problem for that deck. Anything that tops or wins jumps right now would probably rather use Smashing Ground however, only because its not dependant on having a Synchro Monster on the field to activate it.

Greg Synchro Blast Wave:

A sucky one for one.  There are better cards out there that are far less situational.  One of the best one for one spells was just unrestricted (Smashing Ground) and it is far superior to this card.  Fissure is also a fine example of a better card.  Please do not use this card, for it is no bueno.

Name: Synchro Blast Wave

Type: Normal Spell

Text: Activate only while you control a face-up Synchro monster.  Destroy 1 monster your opponent controls.

Short but not too sweet for Friday.

This looks like a useful bit of Synchro support: as long as you have a Synchro monster in play, trade a Normal Spell for an opponent’s monster’s death.  The catch is that it’ll be a dead draw if your deck isn’t dedicated to getting Synchro monsters out, and if your deck is that focused then you will have a hard time making room for this and you probably have better answers to opposing monsters from your actual Synchro Summons.

If it hit any card, it’d jump to Synchro deck staple.
