Infernity Avenger
#TSHD-EN015 When a monster you control, except "Infernity Avenger", is destroyed by battle with an opponent's monster and sent to the Graveyard, while you have no cards in your hand, you can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. In that case, the Level of this card is equal to the Level of your destroyed monster.

Infernity Avenger is one of the more interesting
Tuners out there, but I'm not sure if you would
actually consider using him. He's quite the
situational card, but that doesn't necessarily make
him useless. We have a Level 1 Tuner, who is Dark
and a Fiend with 0 attack and 0 defense.
Anyway, when a monster besides this card, you
control is destroyed by Battle with an opponent's
monster and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special
Summon this card from your Graveyard, (odd), and
only while you have no cards in your Hand. This
isn't all that likely to happen.
Furthermore, when Special Summoned in this
manner, the Level of this card is equal to the Level
of the monster your opponent destroyed.
Obviously this is to make a Synchro Summon easier,
but I'm thinking you have better Tuners available.

Infernity Avenger
This is the first of the new Infernity cards that
we will be reviewing, and it is a bit of a headache.
It is a Level 1 DARK Fiend Tuner with 0 ATK and 0
DEF. This is usually the sign of a bad card, but
then, Plaguesoreader had bad stats too.
The effect is that if it is in your graveyard
then you can Special SUmmon it when one of your
monsters is destroyed by battle and you have no in
hand cards and its lvel becomes that of the
destroyed monster. Any Tuner that can Specia lSummon
itself is great, as Gale and Plaguespreader have
proved, so this is the start of the great Infernity
deck.
Basically you combine this with all of the other
Infernity card sand you get massive SYnchroing and
field presence at the cost of hand control. But this
is fine as even in the face of a massive clearing
card like Judgment Dragon, they even bounce back
with topdecks like Infernity Archfiend.
The deck is going to be amazing, and while I do
not know whether this card will be a cornerstone of
it, it is certainly an option. And that makes it a
good card.

Today's card is Infernity Avenger, who is a
silly-looking head with arms and legs, who wishes he
was more original than his new laser guns. When your
Infernity monster is destroyed by an opponent's
monster, this little guy pops right out of the
Graveyard and takes its level. This means you can
make an instant Level 8 Synchro, and it helps your
swarm in more ways than one when you don't hit it on
turn 1, and it's great discard fodder.
Infernity Avenger will easily avenge your OTK is
you don't manage to hit it (Yeah, I made a pun, deal
with it) right away. If you're unfortunate enough to
get your game dragged on, he'll keep popping out and
stacking Synchros for you to find your way out. This
one card is extremely accessible and searchable and
is a great out to any situation where your deck has
slowed down.
4/5
Art: Would look better if Konami didn't take his
guns away...
Fun Fact: There's a happy face in Cyber Tutu's
background.
Tomorrow: Another failed attempt the steal Watapon's
throne in Adorable Land.

Tuesday: Infernity Avenger
This card is very bad. Infernity players should
focus in disregarding card advantage and life
points. The goal is to manipulate the game to a
state where you win in certain situations (such as a
clear field). Cards that stall out attacks are
useless. Simply put, you should never have a
situation where you have zero cards in hand, in a
properly played Infernity strategy, and actually put
a good use to Avenger without savagely luck-sacking
during your next draw.

Infernity Avenger …
Ahhh … The Infernitys … my new favorite monster
sub-class. The Avenger. A cool little Fiend Tuner of
level 1. No ATK or DEF to speak of, so what good is
he? Well he’s not the BEST of the Infernity, and not
even the best of their tuners … but what he does –
he does well. It’s actually the 1st part of his
effect that makes him awesome. His ability to come
back from the grave if another Infernity monster is
destroyed by battle (provided u have no cards in
hand). Assuming your opponent cannot attack again, u
now have a tuner monster on the field, ready to go.
The 2nd part of his ability allows him to supersize
his level to whatever killed his Infernity friend,
which CAN be helpful, but it’s not what u are
relying upon with his effect. In fact – a lot of
times u WANT his level at 1 for the Synchro u are
about to create. … And if your opponent CAN attack
again – well, the Avenger just showed up to help
block your life points.
Infernitys make Synchros happen. Too bad his
effect doesn’t allow u to special summon him if an
Infernity Avenger is destroyed, or else u’d have a
nigh unbreakable defensive loop going, if u had 2 of
these guys in the graveyard. Regardless – he’s
pretty good. Sometimes u want an even numbered level
Tuner, sometimes u want an odd. He does what he does
well, and also serves as another target for One for
One, in case u use up your Mirages. Play 1 or 2 of
him, but no more.
Ps – the picture is awesome too.

Infernity Avenger:
This Infernity monster seems to be a bit
out-classed by some of his infernity buddies. While
his effect is a nice form of protection after a
monster has been destroyed in battle, the conditions
to activate it are a bit iffy. If you are down to no
hand in an infernity deck and you haven't pulled off
your otk combo, or don't have a field full of
synchro monsters, then you are probably going to
lose. And I really don't think this guy is going to
be enough to save you. Of course if you do have that
field full of synchro monsters and someone runs over
one, then you can use this guy to potentially make
another one I guess... this guy isn't terrible, just
overshadowed by the bigger pieces of the OTK.
Traditional: 1.5
Advanced: 2.0 (the whole "no hand" thing kills it's
score)
