#SDJ-041
When this card is activated, you cannot summon any
monster in the same turn (including Flip Summon and
Special Summon). Place 4 "Sheep Tokens"

Position on your side of the field. The tokens
cannot be used as a Tribute for a Tribute Summon.
Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale
1 being the worst.
3 is average.
5 is the highest rating.

Remember all the fun we had with Scapegoat, once
upon a time, with things like Thousand Eye Restrict
Morph/Control. Scapegoat is a very interesting
card, something you might see a veteran use, and
something a first time player may. It's very
useful in a pinch, just ask Joey Wheeler.
Scapegoat was always better as a combo card than as
simply a let's stop four attack card, but on its
own, it still isn't all that bad. It's one of
those cards that is incredibly simple, but does a
lot, and has several different thoughts and
abilities about. No one could really fault you
for playing it, or not playing it.
Part of me thinks the only reason Scapegoat stays
Limited is because more than one would be annoying
as hell, remember when you could use three?
Sadly, I don't really have an argument to or not to
play Scapegoat. It's a neat card to keep in
the Side-Deck though.
Ratings:
Scapegoat gets a 3/5 all around in both Formats for
reasons listed above.

Scapegoat? …
Uhm, ok. Freeza likes Scapegoat.
Not only is it a monster in spell form … it’s FOUR
monsters in spell form. U can’t use them for a
tribute summon … but since we were lucky enough to
have this card introduced before all the crazy fancy
tech stuff people do today, that’s about the ONLY
limitation on what u can do with these powerless
little goats. Oh, also u can’t do any other kind of
summoning on the turn u activate this card. But
since this is a quick-play spell, that is of little
consequence, cuz u can just do it at the end of ur
opponent’s turn and be free your turn act as u see
fit. Synchro summon, tribute for some type of burn
endeavor, switch into ATK mode and Creature Swap
(remember that beauty?), or just keep then up as a
wall to guard your lifepoints. Scapegoat still has
and always had so many uses. And going back to the
loveliness of its quick-playability, it’s also
perfect Heavy Storm or MST bait.
Scapegoat is one of those underappreciated gems that
people keep forgetting to play.
Freeza likes Scapegoat.
