Paparrapa!!! – Shadow Dragon Saga
Ultra Rare - #243
Combat - Event

I hate this card.

Not as evil as Cell’s Presence, but it’s a party pooper in Focused to my friends. It is, however, needed since ally is just that powerful in Focused. Even ally decks can consider running this to pull their allies back out of the discard for another round (think Orange Instant Transmission, but then again every one runs higher level allies). If you have problems with allies, this should at least be in your Sensei Deck in focused. In Expanded, you should be playing Cell’s Presence instead since that spells good game for most ally decks, while Paparrapa doesn’t.

Bottom line: Focused – almost staple. Expanded: run Cell’s Presence instead in your Sensei.

Expanded: 2.3 out of 5.0 (Cell’s Presence is meaner)
Focused: 4.8 out of 5.0 (You just don’t have options)
Sealed: 2.5 out of 5.0 (Could help but probably won’t)

Paparrapa!!!

OH, how this was needed for Focused.  With the recent change (prior to GKI), of how the ally rules work (ie, anyone can have lvl 1-3 allies in their deck), ally decks RULE Focused, for the most part.  Had I had this in my deck at GKI, I MIGHT have done better.  Unlikely, but true.  Hercule and Baby are alot less effective if they cannot tag their buddies into the game (as is Low ally, but that's another story).  Take all the allies off the table, and they have a good chunk of rebuilding to do, while you go to town on them (hopefully).  Run this, as many as you can, for Focused.  Expanded has something infinitely better in Cell's Presence, so this will get much less play.  Still, another ally nuker is not totally bad.

The bad side of this is that it is an event.  That means it can be sphered, in the freestyle or colored versions.  Now, this one does not know how many spheres people run these days (a styled deck could, in theory run 6-7 max, and a freestyle deck could run upwards of 10), but the odds of events being said 'no' to is alot higher than it was, so playing events is a bit risker, but that is about the only con here.

Play it if you have it, Sealed, Focused, in Expanded, I suppose it is good if you have no CP.

Focused 5/5

Expanded 2/5

Sealed 3/5
