Pan the Persistent Level 5 – Dragon Ball
GT Lost Episodes Saga
Ultra Rare - #154
Personality – Hero
Constant Power: Your attacks with "Train" in the card power do +7
power stages and gain "If successful, use the power of a Dragon Ball
in play." You cannot use this effect more than once this Combat on
the same Dragon Ball.
Pan’s level 5 screams combo. Why do I say that? Well let’s think
about this. Pan is plain amazing in Blazing beatball. I mean think…
what could you use with this power? Black Star/Earth/alt Namek/Dende/Cracked
3 to draw cards. Black Star 7 to double use a ball. Namek 4 to scoop
nons. Black Star 5 to discard the hand. Earth 6 to end combat. And
so forth.
Sure, it won’t be easy to get up here. But Pan has her Baby Saga
Level 1 that you can abuse with a simple Are You Tuff Enuff??? and
jump to level 3. Packing the deck with AYTEs can help a ton to get
to level 5, not to mention running cards that just gain levels.
Thing is, her power is constant. So just pack the deck with cards
that Train an ability and dish out the beating. Draw more cards. Use
more Dragon Ball powers. Wash, rinse, and repeat.
Oh, and don’t forget… Unlocked Potential can and will throw your
opponent for a loop. You can just go off one combat and use Dragon
Balls up the wazoo. Remember, a +7 modifier is nothing you can
really ignore.
Expanded: 4.6 out of 5.0 (Unlocked Combo!)
Focused: 4.4 out of 5.0 (No AYTE to level, but many other ways to
level)
Sealed: N/A (Yeah right)

Persistent Level 5
Boy, I never
thought I'd see a Pan card this strong. But, I guess anything is
possible, she IS the grandaughter of Hercule after all...
(laughing) Anyway, a pretty good PUR of 9, and a good attack of
9,800,000. Her effect is good too, the only thing I can't see
Pan in is if you don't use the Dragon Balls. I don't see a lot
of Pan decks around, but then again, I don't see that many
people playing with the Dragon Balls. All-in-all, shes pretty
good for decks.

Level 5
PUR 9
Ah, Trunk's partner in crime for the UR status for Lost Episodes,
Pan the Persistent. Unlike Trunks, Pan isn't nearly as gamebreaking
as his level 5 is. This card has suffered the fate of "Trying too
Hard to be Amazing". The obvious goal of this card is be a
powerhouse in Red Mentor decks and also be a semi-weapon against
ball decks. (Or IN a ball deck, who knows?) Pan, the Positive lvl 3
from Shadow Dragon Saga has a similar effect, but truly pulls it off
much more and backs up the mentor deck much more IMO. Her power
pumps ALL your attacks by +4 life as well as letting you
auto-capture a ball when you train a card, not to mention gaining
stages along the way. Being just a lvl 3 puts this lvl 5 to shame.
The one key advantage this lvl 5 has is that it can use the powers
of your dballs as well, along with a very large PUR of 10. Being an
UR really hurts this card, as it just isn't worth it compared to the
power of her lower levels, and even when compared to RARE lvl 5s
such as Vegeta or Goku.
Ratings
Expanded-2/10: Mentor decks haven't been too hot here, and by the
time u get here, an opposing ball deck will either have won already
or your opponent will have taken the balls you played yourself O_o
Focused-5/10: Mentor decks are on the rise a bit, and could be a
very potent deck type, but it just takes too long to get to lvl 5
before your strategy gets blown or her usefulness doesn't get used
to the full extent. Stick with her lvl 3 if you're gonna use Pan in
Mentor.
Once again, I hope that my ratings will help u make the best choice
when building a deck. Happy playing!

Pan's level 5 is for Red Mentor train decks. You could run this for
the sake of having a level 5 but unless she is using train cards
this level wont live up to its potential. Now in the train deck this
level is a powerhouse.
+7 is not a small modifer. One hit from even the wimpiest train
attack will knock your opponent down almost half of his maximum
stages. The dragonball power is even more powerful. Being able use
your balls effects once each for every successful hit you make
hurts, especially when many ball sets have a draw 3 cards power. Add
on the disruption aspect of black star
6 or namek ball 4, if you reach her level 5 she could devastate your
opponent. Train decks arent too good at the time because of the
popularity of Black Energetic decks, nuking ability cards kills this
deck.

Pan the Persistent lv 5
Wow two things: Pan gets a 5 and Frieza STILL doesn't?! And
according to the card power levels she can take out Fat buu?
Creepy....Well I have never been a fan of personalities revolving
around a new tech but this one is quite good. The power to add +7 to
all attacks and then train a card to add even more damage to the
next one (if you using mentor, which you should be doing....), which
makes me wonder how much better can red get? And THEN adding the
power to use a dragonball in play if succesful. I think this saga
and last, score has REALLY been trying ot balance the gap between
dragonball and normal decks. Which I'm very happy to see happening
:D A great card but once again kind of a pain to get to, but who
cares lol.
Focused: 4.5/5.0 Great card, the only negative is not too many train
and ability cards out.
Expanded: 4.6/5.0 Using more regenitive and leveling cards to make
it there and abuse it.
Sealed: 1.5/5.0 Having the card is a prop but there is NO WAY you'll
get all the cards to make it to the level and use it to the fullest.

Okay, now for the second of the 2 ultra rare personalities in LES.
Joy. Wow, we go from reviewing an overly broke MP to reviewing a...
less broke MP. Well, in focused you have... Mentor Mastery. Problem
is, hey you'll have a hard time getting to this level. And even
then, her powers are exactly worth it. All your attacks that train
attacks do +7 power stages. Sure, that looks big and there are a lot
of attacks that train, but only in Red. Now, her second power can do
some serious damage. Sure, I'll use that Cracked Dball 7. Oh I know,
I'll copy your Black Star Dball 7 to copy that Black Star Dball 3 I
used last turn. Expanded holds the same story for her, only this
time it's easier to achieve that level. I could actually see her
best in a Saiyan Beatball or Blitzball here. You get all the
advantages of the Saiyan style AND a chance to use your dragon balls
over. Other than that, she's useless in most of the other styles.
You could TRY an Energetic Ball, but meh IMO. She definitly isn't
meant for Blue or Orange.
Focused: 2/5 (Lack of Versitility here, and even if you do get to
it, you risk being GoWed)
Expanded: 2.5/5 (More versitility here, but not much)
Sealed: 1/5 (Definitly don't run it, even if, by some unknown
miraculous reason you do get all 5. It's that bad here.)
