Harry Potter TCG Example Game Turn 2 I draw a Magical Mishap. I play another Charms Lesson. For my second action, I play one of my Magical Mishaps. This requires 2 lesson cards in play under my control (One of them has to be a Charms Lesson Card!). This direct damage spell does 3 damage to Pojo (3 damage to Pojo forces him to discard 3 cards from his draw pile, and put them in his discard pile (graveyard)). Pojo sends a nasty look my way as he discards. After I use my spell, it goes in my discard pile. Pojo draws his card. He plays an Avifors card, which lets him choose one of my Care of Magical Creatures Lessons to discard. It’s a great card to use when your opponent only has one Magical Creatures Lesson in play. This card costs him He then plays a Curious Raven which is the first creature in play. Creatures are nice because every time it's your turn, your creatures attack your opponent. Unlike Pokemon & Magic The Gathering, you can't block your opponents creatures. You don't discard creatures from the board unless they are killed or removed by spells. Notice how Pojo was able to play 2 spells this turn. One to cast a spell on me, and a second to cast a creature into play. This is very different from Magic: The Gathering for those who play it! In Magic, we would have used up our Mana (energy) to cast the first spell. In the Harry Potter TCG you don't really use up mana. You get two actions per turn, and you can use the exact same Lesson Cards for both actions if you wish. He had two lessons in play, and use them both for each spell! Pojo has two lessons in play ... a Care of Magical Creatures Lesson, and a Transfiguration Lesson. That's all he needs for these two spells. |
