Harry Potter TCG Example Game Turn 6 I draw a Magical Creatures Lesson. I play my Surly Hound. For my 2nd Action, I use Malfoy’s Character ability, discarding a Magical Creatures Lesson from my hand to look at Pojo’s hand. (Malfoy’s ability says I can use an action and discard a card in my hand to look at my opponent’s hand and force them to discard a card of my choice). This proves not to help much, as he’s just holding 2 Transfiguration Lessons. I discard 1 of them; disappointed that my move didn’t work the way I hoped it would. Pojo draws. I take my damage from his creatures. He draws another card for his first Action. He then plays a Vicious Wolf, the most powerful creature in his deck. Dang, he must have top-decked that puppy. Compared to those Weenie Ravens, this right now is a Fattie. These wolves damage you for 3 each turn. This wolf's casting cost is "6,CMC". 6 Lesson cards needed to get it in play, one of them has to be a Care Of Magical Creatures Lesson. Maybe someone will come up with cooler abbreviations down the road, but this will work for now. Usually they can be easily dealt with by a Vermillious Spell, which does three damage to either the opponent or any one creature, but I hadn’t been getting any. If wolves aren’t destroyed right away, they’re really dangerous (at least in the basic game). |
