At it's root, it's a 2/3 flier for 4.  Not that bad.  When critters start dying, this thing gets bigger.  With the right combo, this girl can get big in a hurry.  The problem is it's TOO combolicious, and susceptible to removal.  In constructed, really not viable, especially since it's t1 only/

In limited, it's great.  Fliers that get bigger will house any opponent fast in limited if they don't draw their limited removal fast.

Once again, we enter the realm of Cards Chris Gerhardt Has Never Heard Of. This one actually looks kinda decent. Asmira tends to benefit from your losses. She's got a relatively low casting cost. She flies. Fun stuff =). In just for fun constructed, this could be a nice addition to your table top deck. In limited, she could definitely rock the house in a decent GW deck. An early draft pick.

Limited: 3.75

An interesting card. The trigger of creatures going to the graveyard can be abused, but generally not in these colors. If you Wrath, then play this, it could get big. I'm just rambling on and on because it's an old card, only legal in type 1, and there are a lot more powerful cards for your mana there.

In limited, this has flying, and the ability would just make this hard to handle after a couple of your creatures died.

I never played with this, though, so I really don't know how good this is. So take this with a grain of salt.

Thursday - Asmira, Holy Avenger

By Legend standards, Asmira was pretty boring.  However, if you are playing some fun group games, you can take advantage of her ability.  With there being so many token generators available, you can work your way up to one fat Asmira.

She's playable in limited, for the simple fact that she has flying and has the potential to get much larger.  I would definitely play it.  For the most part though, this card has little uses in constructed.  The main problem is that for the same cost you can play Mystic Enforcer.

Thursday - Asmira, Holy Avenger

It's a 2/3 flyer for 2GW with a pretty decent ability. Whenever a creature is put into your graveyard, it gets a +1/+1 counter at end of turn. It can be good late game when it has multipe counters. But otherwise, it's nothing to make a big fuss of. There's much better flyers to play over it. It's still a decent creature though.

In Limited, you got yourself a good card. Something like this in Limited, is hard to take out. If you can get multiple counters on it, you'll most likely win.

Limited: 4.0/5

Asmira, Holy Avenger
Harking back to Arabian Nights we had the little black khabal ghoul,  and that guy was much fun (especially to me at the time, in group games). Asmira is even better, being a bit bigger to start and flying.  All of these things make her a shoo-in in limited.  In constructed though,  she's in the colors that rarely kill creatures outright,  and usually don't even let them go to the graveyard when they do die.

Asmira, Holy Avenger

Um...It's ok, no legends are playable that I've seen excludeing very few, as some invasion dragons, Braids to name a few.  This is only half poo though.  Still Poo.  Twice as good in limited, no longer poo!

4 Mana for a 2/3 Flying creature. Well I would probably pass on that but what about the ability to grow bigger (hopefully before the card catches a Bolt). If a deck can be built to take advantage of the ability it might be good. Since the ability counts cards sent to the Graveyard before Asmira comes into play maybe it would be fun to see it in the graveyard before casting Living Death or cast after a similar board clearing spell.

In Constructed this card can be built around but is probably not the strongest pick for any of the decks. The fact that the pump ability doesn’t kick in until end of turn really hampers the card – Rating 2.50

In Limited, Flyers are good and 2/3 is a decent size. Plus there are always lots of creatures running around that will die off – Rating 3.00
