In the right deck,
this card can be a powerhouse. Getting a
5/6 for 4 is certainly not bad at all. The
upkeep can hurt, but if you can finish your
opponent fast enough, it's well worth it.
I'm not even going
to give this card a limited review - seriously,
who has ever, or will ever play this card in
limited.

A
5/6 flyer for 4 is obviously very powerful in
Limited. As it is basically impossible to afford
an Arabian draft or Constructed, I'll go out on a
limb and give it a 5. Make sure you come back and
tell me that I'm wrong. In a constructed
environment where this guy is legal (read Type
1.5/1), he's total crap. If this was in type 2
right now, he'd be a solid bomb. Right now he's a
1 in Constructed though. |

A highly undercosted
creature from long ago. Its upkeep cost of
sacrificing a land balances its low casting
cost, with the additional penalty of 3 damage if
you sacrifice an island. If it were printed in a
current type 2 set, I think it would see a lot
of play. As it is, there's many better creatures
in type 1.5 or type 1.
If I ever pulled him
in limited, I'd probably play him. But it's a
moot point anyway, as I probably wouldn't get
the chance.
