Pojo's Magic The Gathering
Card of the Day

Unless
we can go back to the days of "Skies", this is not
a constructed card.
In limited, though, I
like it - a LOT. Comes down as an Orge, then
swings for 3 Airborne with mana leftover.
Nice. I personally would be apt to take this
in the 3-6 slot if I was drafting blue. It's
not gamebreaking, but it is a solid creature and I
like it. Anything with flying is always good
if it's well cost, and even paying 4 for a 3 power
flier is good. On top of that, should not be
Cruel Revivialed, can gain life from a Wellwisher,
deal more damage with a Sparksmith, and a
multitude of other things. Good times.

Mistform Seaswift - As
far as constructed goes, this is a very
non-descript creature. It's going to cost you
either 4 or net 5 to cast, and though flying and
Illusion are good, this doesn't have the oomph it
would need to make it special enough to make the
cut into any serious constructed deck that I could
imagine. Perhaps in a Table Top format deck, where
the Illusion factor was important.
In limited, it's a
decent card - not bombalicious by any stretch, but
worth playing. His 3 power, combined with his
morphability, could enable it to take out a pesky
3 toughness flyer. Plus, the Illusion ability can
be quite useful in this tribal oriented format.
Just worth
mentioning: The last few sealed tournaments I've
played, I noticed a huge lack of flying focused
decks. If you happen to get a lot of flyers in
your sealed, you may want to seriously consider
using a flying build. The evasion it offers you
might prove very valuable, and quite possibly,
game winning.

Continuing the
tradition of the Misforms started in Onslaught,
we get a 3/1 flier for 4. It also has morph, for
those times you really need it to have 2
toughness. Unfortunately, outside of maybe a
sliver deck, these won't see play in
constructed, as they are all too expensive.
In limited, it's all
about getting a Lavamancer's Skill. If you have
one, take this guy. If you don't, ship him to
the guy that does.
Constructed: 2
Limited: 3.5 if you have Lavamancer's Skill,
1.25 if you don't.

Mistform Seaswift
One of the better non-rare reasons to play blue in
limited, swinging for 3
in the air on turn 4 is a good way to start a
clock. Add in his sometimes
relevant mistform ability and a low morph cost,
and this guy might even see
some constructed play.

Think this is one of
the most boring cards I've had to review, either
that or my brain just died... again. = -/ He's a
3/1 flyer for four or you can Morph him for 1U and
swing for 3 turn 4. He's pretty solid in limited
and his mistform ability makes him a lil better
but I don't think he'll see much play in
Constructed.
Don't know why but
this card seems so boring. 0.~

This card is very poor. Like so poor it can't
afford the 'or.' It's just Po'.
Seriously this card has no great benefit to offer
except that is changes types. I would recommend
using it in a theme deck like slivers, but there
is already a cheaper, and all around better, flier
to use that does the same thing.
This card isn't that good in either format.

Mistform Seaswift has
a bit of everything Flying, Morph, type change.
This can make add a bit of versatility and the
fact that it is an aggressive drop doesnt hurt
either. Nothing amazing but a solid pick.
Constructed Maybe not the most stand out card
and there is better stuff out there but solid all
around 2.50
Limited A real nice pick as a decent sized
evasion creature with benefits 3.00
PEZ This format is not really looking for a card
like this as there are more standout (and harder
to kill) drops 2.25
