Ignore
constructed.
We have a 2 power
flier for 3 that can flop critter types. Not
as good as seaswift, but still good - makes the
cut in blue. Everything it can do, this can
do too - just does not hit as hard.

Mistform Dreamer -
Again, too vanilla for constructed play. In
limited, it's solid. Not a first pick, but a
decent midpick. Dreamer is a well costed creature
that will probably deal some early damage for you
in this flyer-light environment, until your
opponent just can't stand its peskiness and will
have to burn it out or come up with an answer to
flying. Its power of 2 is enough to hold off or
take out a variety of your opponent's probably
higher costed flyers, so Mistform Dreamer is
economical in that respect. Its Illusion ability
is always an added bonus in this heavy tribal
environment.
Speaking of, I think some people have a hard time
seeing the good in a Mistform Illusions and their
ability to change creature type. Think of it this
way:
Gaining life with
Wellwisher? **Poof** He's an Elf.
Need an extra
damage with Sparksmith? **Poof** He's a Goblin
Your opponent
killing off one of YOUR creatures with Sparksmith?
**Poof** He's a Goblin and your opponent takes an
extra point of damage. And so on...
Get the picture? ;)

Mistform Dreamer
Another flying Mistform, this time a 2/1 fdor 3.
Unfortunately, it's exactly the same as
yesterday. Maybe in slivers, but otherwise, not
in constructed.
Again, all about Lavamancer's Skill in limited.
At least you may be able to take a risk late in
pack one if you are U/R and don't yet have the
Skill.
Constructed: 2
Limited: 3.5 if you have Lavamancer's Skill,
1.25 if you don't.

Mistform Dreamer
Compared to the Seaswift, you would have to have
the tightest mana on earth
to play this guy in constructed over your other
options. In limited he's
still a solid pick (most fliers are), though not
"strong" really.

Mistform Dreamer is a
quick drop for an extra bit of beats. Nothing
stellar here but not too shabby. The low cost is
kind of nice.
Constructed Okay all
around but nothing too special since type change
doesnt seem to be that huge 2.40
Limited Another nice
quick drop with evasion, fairly solid 3.00
PEZ Again, this is a
card slot not looking to be filled 2.25 |

Here's a 2/1 flyer
with an extra ability for three in world full of
2/2 for 3. Great in Limited but unless there's a
Blue bomb rush deck in type 2 this poor guy won't
see much play. = (
Why are the
mistforms so hard to review? >,<

Mistform Dreamer
A 2/1 flier for 2U with the ever so non-important
Mistform ability. Well, I've seen a lot worse.
Limited: A 2/1 flier for 3cc is very playable in
the format of forty. The Mistform ability is
actually useful in the new tribal environment that
Onslaught has brought upon us.

This card is light years better than yesterday's
card. It's cheaper and will most like be active
sooner.
Truth be told, this one is actually playable in
limited. It's not stellar, but definitely
playable. In constructed it has a few uses. But
almost every time I think about playing the
Mistform Seaswift, I think of this card. It's
better, not by a whole lot, but it is better.
Check out www.texasmagicleague.com. We've got
some good standard deck talk to help prepare you
for Regionals. The best part is that none of it
thus far includes talks of mistform creatures.

Mistform Dreamer
Probably the cheapest and best blue flyer in
onslaught along with ascending aven for limited
play. Plus it has tricks and protection from cruel
revival. A solid pick for blue.
Surgeon General Warning: Not meant for consturcted
play.
