Minamo,
School at Water's Edge
In a constructed deck, you don't really have to
have too many legendary creatures in your deck
before this card's untap ability could become
somewhat interesting. It's nice that, from a
mana producing standpoint, this card has no
serious drawbacks when compared to an Island
card. Still, I find Minamo MINIMALLY
interesting.

Minamo, School
at Water's Edge - Thursday
Funny thing is, of the new legendary lands, this
one probably has the fewest uses. However, it is
pretty nice when you do get to use it. I'd
expect it to find it's way into any deck that
has a Meloku and lots of blue mana. I've seen
more and more of these lands appearing in decks,
and I don't expect that trend to stop any time
soon.

Minamo,
School at Water's Edge --
If you have a legendary permanent in your deck
and you are playing blue, why wouldn't you play
Minamo? It serves the same purpose as a basic
Island, with the exception that you don't want
to see multiples over the course of a game, and
who knows?...it might come in handy. I'm also
pretty sure this card has the ability to be
ridiculous with certain cards, such as Tolarian
Academy (though I suppose that card is dumb
enough on its own...)

While it's not a constructed favorite, it does
have its place in limited with the huge number
of Legends that Kamigawa block has to offer. If
you're going blue, and you have some decent
Legends, it's a definite include in your deck.
In casual, a definite include for Legend decks.

I like this series of lands. The red one gives
first strike (FINALLY something other than
haste) the black one gives fear, the green gives
+1/+1 (=/), the white prevents damage, and this
one untaps. Unlike the other lands, this isn’t a
card you can just stick into any blue deck. You
can use this to untap some cool stuff though:
Arcanis the Omnipotent, Tolarian Academy, Rorix,
Gaea’s Cradle. This card can be insane in
casual. I don’t see this getting too big in
block or Type 2, but it’s definitely not bad.
It’s showing up a lot in Extended though, and
for good reason.
In limited, it’s not as powerful because there
isn’t much you can combo it with. It’s not
terrible though; it’s an island with no damage.
Definitely not a first pick, but I wouldn’t mind
taking this later.
