As far as equipment goes, you can do a lot worse than Umezawa's Jitte.  It doesn't cost too much to play or equip, it has several good abilities attached to it, and it lets you do tricks.  Don't forget that the charge counters go on Jitte, and two-out-of-three of them can be used even when Jitte isn't equipped to anything...though I suspect that if you get two swings in with the Jitte, the game is going to be close to over anyways.  Constructed, casual, or limited, I would highly recommend considering Jitte in any deck that plans on featuring equipment.
