Shivan Dragon
RARRRR! This guy is STILL popular! He says,
"Deal with me now, or I win." A very nice casual
card and of course of the ever-popular Dragon
variety. In limited, a MUST pick, if not for
your own deck, then as a defensive
draft...because you DON'T WANT ANYONE ELSE to
play it against you....and it's great trade
bait. =)

Shivan Dragon -
The King, if there ever was one. When I first
started playing, back in Beta, my first
assortment of creatures included what I thought
was a very impressive Water Elemental. When I
finally started playing with some people at
school, one of them showed me a Shivan Dragon. I
was absolutely awe-struck. Even in those days, I
liked a good combo more than a good creature,
but the sheer majesty of Shivan Dragon was hard
to beat.
Ironically,
I never managed to own a Shivan Dragon until 8th
edition. It just never showed up in any packs,
and I never needed them for tournament play.
Shivan is, of course, a limited bomb like few
others. I don't think we'll ever see him
headlining in Red Deck Wins, though.
